Quality Inn Redding

This is a regular go-to for me on my California to Oregon route. This trip there was some confusion about my dates (not the property's fault) and the manager was nice enough to correct them free even though she could have charged me. There are a lot of rooms but the place is always surprisingly quiet. On a main street but set well back. Cattleman's is a block away and it's fab.

Every time I go there (every time) I request a downstairs room which they assure me I'll get and then they give me an upstairs room. I actually find it funny now! Also the WiFi was brutal, not exactly sure why, don't recall having that be an issue previously. Also this time it looked like they did some redecorating and removed the big chair that used to sit in the corner, Just a big empty space now. They should put the big chair back!

Convenient location. Clean. Great staff. Nice continental breakfast. Good parking at the room.

No privacy at the pool. Anyone walking by can look in. Felt like a pool in a parking lot. I was planning on taking a swim but I did NOT use it because of that. I also had the refrigerator, which was off and defrosting, leak water out of the cabinet into a puddle in front of t.v. I cleaned it up and turned fridge back on.

Chris was amazing. He was very nice and he was very knowledgeable. He gave us a bottom floor because of my cancer. He was on point with everything. He even offered to bring extra pillows or towels or anything. The morning lady was also extremely nice. I had chemo and she let us get a late check out and we were able to leave the big rig until I was done with chemo. I will be staying here every time we are in Redding. Thank you all.

It was affordable and the staff were very nice. I had no trouble finding the hotel, as it was very close to both the I-5 and the 44 freeways. Room was adequate, with coffee pot and nice flat screen TV. Air conditioner worked well. In walking distance of a couple of restaurants and grocery stores. It's also pretty close to the Sacramento River trail.

There's no elevator up to the higher floors; I asked the staff at the front desk for a room on the ground floor since I had a lot of luggage, and they graciously let me take a handicapped room, which was all that was available. The shower was a little weak, but usable. I noticed some people who were maybe homeless wandering about nearby, but they minded their own business and didn't seem dangerous or anything; I think that's just how Redding is these days. All the same, I didn't leave anything of value in my car, just to be safe.

The front desk staff were awesome, helping me with highway info and snow conditions and where to buy tire chains. The first room I got smelled like cigars, and they switched me right away and the second room was fine. Love having a fridge.

The heater/AC unit made all sorts of alarming noises, but it worked.

As a young female solo traveler, it was very important to me to find a place where I felt safe. Although I did see a few homeless people on the premises, I never felt a sense of danger. There were cameras all around the parking lots, and once I got into my room, I didn't give safety another thought. Initially I was on the second floor in the front building, but was moved to the third floor because the first room smelled heavily of smoke and cigarettes. When I brought the issue to the staff, they were very apologetic and kind, and upgraded me to a bigger room with a king-sized bed on the third floor of the back building. The room was very clean and quiet, and the bed was so comfortable. I have stayed at 5-6 different hotels in Redding, and let me say.. Quality Inn has the best mattresses. The ones at Red Lion, Best Western, Holiday Inn, etc. can't compare. No, this isn't the newest, top-knotch hotel in Redding, but it is quiet, comfy, and best of all..affordable. The location is great too. Near many yummy food places (Tbar Fusion, Chik-Fil-A, From the Hearth, MOD pizza, etc).

I didn't see any elevators to the third floor. Maybe they were there, but I just didn't notice? Lugging my bags and luggage up three floors wasn't all that fun. Also, I wish they served a hot breakfast. The COVID breakfast was okay, as it was all pre-packaged foods. They're doing their best.

We found this property online and were just returning from Oregon, dragging a relatively larger trailer behind us. This property has great security, very important for us, especially because I couldn't park it in front of our room. Instead, they have an area for trucks with trailers with cameras, and the area is protected as well. The room was well appointed, with clean soft, and durable carpet, but not a shag...very nice feature, as it would have been very cold with concrete or tile, etc. We travel plenty and this place rated right up at the top. In addition, it was a pleasure speaking with the owner/manager during the day...and the night manager also...What a great group...Will always stay at this place when in Redding!!!

I can't think of anything at all...We were very impressed!

It was a hot day and the air conditioner kicked ass. The room was clean and surprisingly quiet despite the hotel being packed. Dogs are allowed. Staff were professional and pleasant. The location is near good restaurants and shopping.

The grass is really dry and dying in the picnic area. In the same area, the garbage needed to be emptied as it was over flowing. In my room the TV reception was not great. Bathtub drained slow.

The room was large and clean

girl at reception was not very friendly and we had confirmed a king bed and when got to the room it was a queen but we had already taken our suitcases in. Upon asking for a price it was quoted $117.00 and when I left and looked it up on booking.com the room was $96.00 . So we went back and asked for that confirmation. She was not happy and showed it with her attitude. Shower didn't have any power and water did not get hot.

The staff was A-Maz-Ing! Super friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was hot and there were lots of choices. The room was clean and comfortable

The air conditioner wasn’t working well. It kept shutting off when the room was too warm. It finally cooled off but it took too long.
