Oxford Suites Redding

I like Oxford Suites setup of the rooms and general comfort. The best thing is the outdoor patio area, which is organized so that people with pets can both have breakfast with them (by bringing the plate outside) and enjoy their time with family members while they are in the swimming pool (we stayed outside with the dog while others were in the swimming pool area). The swimming pool is lovely and partly protected from the sun.

Our room was a bit noisy, both the air conditioning and the outside noises, e.g., stairs, doors. The hotel is lovely and feels safe yet taking the dog out for walks is tough if you are not used to homeless people - I feel saddened by their situation. Travelers from abroad (I am from Europe) will feel this in most parts of the West Coast.

Clean, spacious, modern updated rooms and bathroom. Liked the art work and color combination in the lobby and rooms, lighting, mirror , hardwood style floor , clean bathroom tile design, bed headboard , sofa was comfy , liked everything! Service staff provided service with smile. Nice kept swimming pool with bonus jacuzzi. Breakfast and coffee were very nice included during the stay. Nice fridge and microwave in the room. Worth it! Room also has nice separation door.

Entrance door had flags added great value to the entry, more landscaping around the door will make it more stand out. Breakfast was very nice wish had one more vegetarian item and waffle maker. Swimming shower wish was next to the pool within fenced area. Most staff carried smile that added nice memorable difference on our stay. More hooks to hang clothes will help.

My family throughly enjoyed our stay! The room was super clean. The pool and spa are both heated and open till 10pm which was a major plus. The all you can eat breakfast bar was scrumptious. Eggs, bacon, sausage, fried potatoes, Pancakes, yogurts, cold and hot cereal varieties, assorted pastries and breads for toasting, varieties of fruit juice, coffee, teas, and milk which my kids gave 2 thumbs up! The room had a mini fridge and a microwave which was a plus. We will definitely be staying again.

The breakfast staff was very stand offish. Cold and extremely uninviting. Not a smile was found on our 2 night stay unfortunately.

They offer a buffet breakfast and they also had appetizers and drinks in the evening. Everything was clean and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. Parking was convenient and the staff was friendly and helpful. There were lots of outlets available to charge all the devices. I arrived a little early and they did let me check in a little bit before the official check in time and which was awesome.

In the center part of the room, where the bed is, the lighting is pretty dim. It did not bother me, but my parents struggled to see even with all the room lights on and shades open. Only in the area around the bed. Everywhere else the lighting was just fine.

I loved the hospitality of the front desk clerks especially because my flight was delayed and I didn't get in until 4am! The front desk let me in and took care of me right away. She gave me a breakfast ticket and left a note for the kitchen staff to set aside me a plate because they knew I was probably going to miss the breakfast time by me getting in so late. That was really nice!

My son and I had an early flight in Sacramento, so we were trying to sleep however the people above us was extremely loud. I didn't call front desk to complain because I understood that I was sleeping way early and maybe they just got in and was trying to get settled.

Extremely comfortable bed, very modern and updated room and bathroom. Loved the pocket door in our room to separate us from the living room (we put our toddler and pack n play in living room and could walk around without worrying about waking him). There was really cool multi colored lighting above the bed.

Breakfast wasn't great, but the staff was very friendly at breakfast. We had a jimmy deans breakfast biscuit to heat in our microwave, all prepackaged foods like muffins, juice, milk carton, etc. For the price of the hotel for one night $200, it was a poor excuse of a breakfast offering. They're renovating and hoping to reopen their lobby soon.

Didn't actually swim, but pool area is very nice, sat around and relaxed. Happy hour drink, and solid breakfast selections are a very nice touch. Room was very clean and comfortable, enjoyed the modern shower.

There was an oversight on the billing, in which the property tried to bill me again after I had already paid via Booking.com. Fortunately, I caught it before checking out, and the front desk person politely and efficiently reversed the charge.

Awesome staff, clean, honored floor request, excellent breakfast, in room coffee, decor kept current, the feeling that management wants to give value.

Rear elevator needs some tweaking. Likes to close as you’re exiting. The bathroom is nicely updated but not user friendly. You have to fully get into the shower in order to turn it on. Even pushing the shower head to the side you’re still going to get splashed with cold water. Plus the shower head is a single setting and there’s no shower stall shelf. Whoever designed the layout needs to give the hotel a refund. At the minimum I’d recommend a hand held unit that has a shut off setting that enables the guest to face the nozzle away from them prior to turning it on.

Was bight and clean. Loved the pillows! If you can tell what brand they are that would be great! Everything was grand! Lots of kids n folks at pool when we passed it on way to room. Concerned it would be a noisey night but it was quiet in room even though it overlooked to pool. The shower was tge best ever! Was a great stay, great rest.

Breakfast was fantastic! Real bacon, not the skinny dried up type. Real scrambled eggs! And the choices! Excellent!!

The pool is too small. There were a lot of people in it on Saturday night, so I couldn’t enjoy it. However I was able to get a late check out and enjoy it in the morning while all the weekend guests were leaving.
