Comfort Suites Redding - Shasta Lake

We loved the spacious room. We also loved the swimming pool and we had it for ourselves when we use it early in the morning. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Really close to the I-5 so it is easy to get in and out during our long travel.

The staff were very friendly and having fun at work. Which is a breath of fresh air.

There were only rooms with king size beds and a pull out. on the bookings app it said it was suitable for 2 adults and two teenagers. the pull out could only fit one person. My other teen had to sleep on the L part of the sofa. not supper comfortable. I would have picked a different hotel if this was mentioned.

Everything about this hotel was exceptional. Indoor corridors provide a level of safety. On site laundry facilities are convenient. Daily breakfast is always a plus with hot (egg and meat) choices, waffles, breakfast cereals, breads, muffins and fruit. Easy access to freeway and nearby to attractions and shopping. Nice fitness center with free weights, treadmill, elliptical and bicycle. Coffee bar available all day. Lemon infused water in the lobby. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. A large variety of snacks available for purchase in the Marketplace. Beds are comfortable. Rooms and property are clean.

The location worked well for us as it was between our starting and ending point. The continental breakfast was really good - lots of choices available and the area was clean. The room was clean and quiet, and the bed very comfortable.

The air conditioner was a bit noisy. The only way to use the wifi was through an account that needed to be set up to access. Our phone plan has unlimited data, so this wasn't a big issue for us. It would have been nice to have a refrigerator with freezer (instead of a dorm-size frig) since we were traveling with a cooler with ice bricks.

It was clean, the room was graciously large, and the a/c worked well, It was fairly close to the freeway, so convenient to get to. Staff was friendly. Lots of parking. They had luggage carts for our use. The breakfast was very complete, with two kinds of waffles and everything!

It was a distance to get to services like restaurants. Not far, like 7 minutes or so, but honestly it's in a really depressed area...industrial type stuff around it, not inviting at all. It was just an overnight stop for us while on our way home, but I think the price should have been lower than it is, considering the neighborhood. Staff was not wearing masks, in spite of the rising Covid-19 cases, not even breakfast room staff!

The Staff were great!

We were down for a handicapped room. When we checked in, we were told they did not have that info. I showed them my Booking and they saw our requested room type. Unfortunately there weren't any handicapped rooms left. We needed that extra space for my disabled husband! We were given a regular room, at least on ground level. There was also painting and rug replacement going on with drop cloth paper taped in the hallways and doorways. This made it difficult to walk around. The Staff and manager gave us a discount on our room for the inconvenience, which was very nice!

Excellent place to stay! Easy to find and located in an area with plenty of places to eat. The gentleman who checked us in was very kind and helpful, which is always a breath of fresh air after driving 10+ hours. Plenty of parking spaces near the front door. The inside of the hotel is very nice and modern. Our room was very big, with a couch in an area separate from where the beds were. It also had a huge, clean bathroom. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Overall an excellent place to stay at a great price.

1) the cleaner did not do good job, that there were urine marks on toilet seat. 2) why they leave coffee and coffee machine in bathroom? not very sanitary. it should be on the table in living room. 3) carpet needs to be cleaned, it has a smell. 4) the “art” in the frames are rather un-tastefully random carelessly hand on walls. put in real pictures or cut posters could have been better than that. or hanging those ugly wall art made the room look cheap. 5) all Staffs should have waring a mask when preparing food/breakfast.

The room was clean and comfortable. I really liked the king bedroom that had a small couch and room divider half wall. The free buffet breakfast was really good. I appreciate that they were pet friendly. The snacks for sale were reasonably priced and convenient to have on site. Also, the pool and jacuzzi room looked fun.

The only negative I have was that the TV volume only turned up to the number “30” which was not very loud AT ALL. I could only hear the TV if straining to hear every word because it was so low and quiet. I understand they are trying to prevent people from “blaring” their TVs but to make them soooo low was irritating.

The property was awesome loved it. very convenient short drive anywhere to fast food chain target, Costco, Walmart lakes to whiskey town to downtown Redding very short drive all just 3 to 8 min away 😊 The staff were so nice and friendly made sure my family had everything we needed. I stayed here 8 days with no issues or any problems 😊
