Red Roof Inn Redding

Location was extremely convenient for guests without access to a car, being a ten minute walk from downtown. The room was affordable and well-appointed and the hotel was able to accommodate our awkward schedule with a 3AM check in after arriving by train. What blew us away was how accommodating the staff were when we were faced with a tricky flight home - neither of us drive and a 7:20AM flight was our only option for getting back to Seattle, but we couldn't find or book a taxi anywhere in the city. The proprietor, Sam, very kindly offered to get up before 6am, collect us from the lobby and drive us straight to the airport, at no charge. It was an unbelievably kind thing to do and a great way to restore faith in humanity - we're extremely grateful and would absolutely recommend the hotel for future visitors.

Comfortable bed and pillows. Shower was great and hot water. Had coffee pot, fridge, microwave and a pool. Teen enjoyed the pool. Ac worked well. Felt comfortable and secure. Parking right outside of the room.

Difficulty figuring out how to get into the parking lot. Came in from backside much easier, most likely just G maps poor directions and tiredness of driving. Honestly I have nothing bad to say, just reaching.

Wifi was absurdly slow, could not even send text messages on my phone. room 212 has the furniture placed in a way that all the outlets are not being utilized correctly. Had to unplug microwave to charge laptop. I really wish more hotels would give more detailed information about their wifi. Theyd be surprised at how many places people pass up because of it.

The staff was attentive and readily available which is nice because at a property like this, you need them quite a bit to get settled. Ice machine, towels, etc.

I don't have any complaints in regards to the room other than the coffee machine being broken which was frustrating because I specifically asked during check-in whether or not it was available in the room. I would have bought instant across the street at Safeway had I known that it was potentially inoperable, However they made up for the mishap by having coffee available in the lobby upon check-out but because it's part of my wake up routine I skipped it.

Front desk manager was super nice. Room was larger than expected and had a fridge. It was clean and I appreciate that the floors aren’t carpeted.

There were people being a little loud in the pool area when we checked in. But we didn’t hear them once we got to our room.

The property shares a parking lot with a delicious diner, and is a safe walking distance from a grocery store and a Starbucks. We had everything we needed for our trip. It also had a small pool which made the hot afternoon bearable. I could tell the room was recently remodeled. The front desk person was friendly and made us feel welcomed. Overall this was a great value stay.

There’s still construction going on in the property. Probably the renovations. But we didn’t hear noise or notice too many people, so it was fine. I wish the pool was accessible by room key only.

Nothing thank you my daughter who I booked for with her 3 children said it was one of the best places to stay. She is here visiting family so going back home she and the kids will definitely stay at your place thank you. Her name is Mariah Naccasha Green 😊

This was a very inexpensive option. The room was completely remodeled and decorated. The staff was friendly and gave good suggestions for things in the area.

Just to be aware, the property does charge a damage deposit that was refunded the next morning.

The property is still undergoing renovation but as a budget motel it was great. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly and the restaurant across the parking lot (LuLu's) is an Americana gem!! Seriously, I'd stay at the motel just to eat there.

The room was exactly what it should have been BUT if I must nitpick I'd note that the interesting "architectural" wrap-around-mirror lighting was the most godawful color temperature for human skin. Like a flourescent tube gone wrong. So don't put on makeup for your big sex tape audition in front of this thing.....

I loved it all. We even extended our stay. When they saw that we booked at a discounted rate, even though we expected to pay the going rate for our extended stay the manager "Sam" graciously offered to give it to us at the discounted rate which saved us close to $100. The staff is very friendly. The place is newly remodeled and very, very clean. The best part is the location. We are right across the street from a Safeway grocery store...Sooooo convenient for hotel staying. You will love it here!! They have an actual working Ice Machine and for free, which most hotels around here do not. Also the rooms are well insulated. Did not have to listen to neighbors on either side of us. They provide a coffee pot and the fixings in the room but also have socially distanced tables and chairs in the office lobby where they have already brewed coffee available in there as well.
