Fairfield Inn & Suites Redding

Very friendly front desk staff! Ample parking, located near I-5. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Mini fridge was quiet. Spacious bathroom. Some amenities already included (shower body wash/shampoo/conditioner, hand soap at the sink). Tea/coffee packets in the room (along with small hot water boiler to make said coffee/tea). 1080p HDTV stands on the dresser, is fixed onto the dresser. Some food options nearby. About 2.5 miles away is the closest Dutch Bros. coffee. Go for the popular Mexican place nearby if you're looking for takeout!

Minor complaint/preference: Shower head is not generously strong. In comparison to 2 other hotels I stayed at on this road trip, however, this one got the job done and wasn't "weak" like the others. When neighboring traveler let their door close, the light "slam" moved the beds (I was in bed when it happened). Sound proofing is decent but you can hear the neighbors talking or watching TV if they have the vocals/volumes up. Otherwise it was very quiet at night and I slept like a baby.

This is a remodeled property that feels like new. There's a spacious, pleasant lobby with places to plug in your devices, and ample parking including for small trucks. The breakfast was good. The neighborhood is mostly motels, very quiet, but there's an interesting deli nearby that is run by enthusiastic young people.

Unfortunately, as is often the case with older properties, the sound insulation between rooms is very poor. We could hear our neighbors quite clearly, even some of what they were saying.

Easy to locate and the staff was very helpful and greeted us with a smile. The room was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Breakfast was offered and looked great, we had an early meeting and did not stay to enjoy.

Could not close the curtains and the outside light from street lights was coming in the room.

Super friendly staff! Always a genuine smile and a welcome back after a long day. Cookies and fruit seem like a simple thing, but they sure do hit the spot exactly when you need them! Robin, who handles the morning breakfast, took very good care of us and made sure our breakfast was exactly what we wanted and needed.

Sound travels easily between walls and ceilings. If you have a pet, it seems the 1st and 2nd floors are for travelers with pets, so if you are sound sensitive and have a pet, you might be hearing your upstairs neighbors as they move about their room.

The staff respects my privacy. They don't take the personal inventory of any guest I might bring to the hotel as most luxury hotels do. The staff is friendly and the manager is on top of her game when it comes to the responsibilities of running a smooth operation. I always look forward to my stay at the Fairfield Marriott

I did not like that there is no food staff but that-is the covid issue not the hotel's.

good location off freeway, very nice friendly helpful staff, comfortable beds clean rooms, nice lobby and breakfast

a little far from the main part of town but the deli and ice cream shops across the street were very good.

The customer service, house keeping, front desk , and breakfast person, and food was delicious.

I can’t say that I have something I disliked

Getting a Hot breakfast was great. It was nice to have options again over the sack breakfasts. The woman helping to serve breakfast was awesome.

It would have been better to have more help with the hot breakfast. Things got a bit hectic with people gathering by the kitchen door to ask for their food. There was only one person and she was running her butt off getting plates to guests.

Location is convenient. Room is clean Breakfast has lots of varieties.

We always prefer a facility with wash basin outside of the bathroom. It makes it easier to scheduling the bathroom usage for a family or a group.

We have stayed here several times mainly because the rooms are very clean and kept in good condition. The staff is always very accommodating. This trip we traveled with our two small dogs and really appreciate the well kept room and the doggy bags in the pet area. Highly recommend this hotel.
