Downtown San Diego Lodge

The location is very good, 20/25 min by foot from the GasLamp quarter and Little Italy (the vivid areas of the city). There is also restaurants around (a good ramen restaurant, empanadas, mexican food...) if you dont wanna walk too much. The bed is comfortable, the shower is hot and the room is spacious enough. Plus comparing the price to the other motels/hotels around, this one is relatively cheap and you have what you would expect.

The cleanliness could be better (there is a balcony that you would not want to use as it is dirty and the view is not the best) and there is an umcomfortable smell when you enter (which I think come from the type of cleaning products that are used) that goes away after you open the windows for a bit.

Staff was awesome - professional and extremely helpful. Even allowed a late check out so we could eat and leave our pet in the room

Parking is an issue. If you are used to a heavy populated urban area then this won't be a surprise. I was initially given incorrect information but it all worked out

The location was convenient. The night clerk was very nice.

The daytime clerk did not appear to prioritize customer service. His personal phone call delayed the check-in process. He made it clear I was interrupting the soccer game he was watching when I checked out. This is the first place I've ever stayed where there was no ice machine.

The location was good. The price was good. And The place was clean.

They were doing maintenance in the morning when we were at sleep. Around 9:00am.

The booking and check in process was fast and easy. The staff were very good at communicating and they were friendly and professional. The property was well kept and I felt very safe there.

The room was close to downtown which was our main concern. The rooms and beds were of decent size and the hotel was able to accommodate for two rooms being next to each other. We had a great stay. For those complaining about the noise, it’s a hotel next to the freeway what else did you expect.

The property is clean and the host was very proactive.

It is not for tourists, specialist women traveling solo. There were some men in the property that kept staring on me and there was no lock in the room. Unless you have a car, the location is not very close to touristic places either. It can be tricky to park, but I arrived late at night and got a spot.

I loved your pillows I loved your pillows so much that I wanted it to steal them there were the best pillows I ever slept with I wish you could tell me where you got them at

That there was not so much parking spaces

No breakfast! Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is completely open to the street. There's no fence and no security personel.
