Coast Village Inn

A motel style hotel we had a room on the first floor, 25. The room was elevated and beautifully appointed with a lovely view over the buildings on the opposite side of the road to the sea. The hotel pool area was spotless as was the gardens and parking areas. The whole surrounding area was immaculately presented with not a spot of litter to be seen, anywhere. There are a number of restaurants within walking distance all of which serve high quality cuisine with a price to match. With busy Santa Barbara a 5 minute drive away this hotel is well positioned providing a quiet location away from the rush.

The location is fabulous, the facilities are very clean, even though a tiny bit dated. Staff is wonderful! I love the in-room, coffee-maker, as well as the hot coffee and tea available in the lobby. The pool and surrounding area is immaculately clean and tidy and so inviting. It’s not a large property and not very fancy, but very comfortable and the outdoor spaces are inviting and very pleasant!

The only things I would ask of this comfortable and well located hotel are: new pillows (tge mattress is a very comfortable!), lighting in the closets, more functional and more in quantity electrical outlets in the room (the plugs don’t stay in the outlets and fall out, and more are needed), the refrigerator in the room is so handy and convenient, but runs loudly during the night.

I loved that the place was super clean! The decor wasn’t super modern, but wasn’t outdated, just cozy. The room was really small but honestly we did t need the extra space for just me and my partner. I passed by other rooms and they did have bigger rooms available. It was enough to sleep comfortably with the working heater on for the chilly nights. Parking was $5 per day which wasn’t too bad and was really close to our room which I really liked. Loved that our room had a view of a cute water fountain. The hotel did offer in room massage services which I didn’t get to try but loved that they have that option! They also had brochures with recommended places and activities to check out in the area. Location was right across from boutiques and restaurants and under 10 minutes to downtown Santa Barbara! which I thought was really nice. Didn’t get to try the free bikes offered but thought that was really cute and fun! Hope to try it out next time we stay in the Santa Barbara area :) loved the location, friendly service and cleanliness. Will definitely be looking to stay here again.

Soap offered for bathing caused skin reaction. Way too thick. Had forgotten to bring my own and sad they didn’t have alternatives to offer at front desk :(

Reasonably priced hotel in the Santa Barbara area. There were nice restaurants within walking distance. The complimentary bikes were a plus.

One of the bikes had squeaky brakes, but we didn't discover it until we were on our way to our cycling journey. There were other options on bikes and the other one worked well. The location of the mountainside room was easy to find and the staff was very friendly upon checking in. They were ready to answer any questions I had. The king bed we stayed in was comfy and the room was nice and cozy. Perfect for two! Location to restaurants, the beach, and the freeway is a huge plus!

There is a good amount of outdoor noise that could be heard early in the morning i.e. people walking up and down the stairs near the room, talking right outside the rooms, which could not be blocked out being inside the room. I can see how parking can be difficult to find, but we stayed on a weekday, so no major issues there.

We have stayed here numerous times over the years. We choose it for the location in the small Montecito and the ability to walk around a small town rather than big city Santa Barbara. The place is basically an old motel sort of place but very well presented. The rooms in front near the office are the older ones. Beautifully done, but rather small. The newer portion is along the pool. We have stayed there before as well and it is quite fine. If you are more of a quiet client, you may want to stay facing the back. The area around the pool can be quite noisy during summer.

Nice and clean hotel with very responsive staff. Also very nice sitting areas including a garden area and heated pool. In addition, free parking was available on site

We were looking for an extension cord but hotel had no extras available. An offering of breakfast would have been an added value. Otherwise, all great

The hotel is GREAT! The room is large, clean, really comfortable, lovely, just fantastic! The staff were very friendly, attentive, professional and helpful. The pool is a nice place to enjoy and relax. Highly recommended!

The amenities were great. The pool is heated. Coffee was good. Toiletries were top notch. Staff was friendly, courteous, and beautiful. The location was in the right spot.

Parking spaces were a little tight. We got lucky finding a spot because somebody was pulling out right when we got there.

The location was excellent, many choices of restaurants, banks, and shops in walking distance.

The curtains/ window treatment in the bedroom , need to be chanced, the hooks were broken and did not close with ease, and part or the mini blinds in the bathroom were all bent. However they were still functional , and I would stay there again .
