The room was a 7-8 minute walk from the Surfliner train station. The office was had complimentary snacks and after we checked into room #4 it was a little smaller than I thought but still enjoyable. The queen size bed looked smaller than normal but we're small people. We enjoyed the coffee and tea and the complimentary bikes and beach accessories were definitely a plus. This is a small cozy hotel and that gives off family owned and operated(which is plus for us) because they seemed to really care about the property and the people who stay there. We would stay there again and have recommended this property to 3 people

We appreciated the extra space in the Deluxe Queen room, including sitting area and mini kitchen. The amenities were excellent, including thick, fluffy towels, fruit and snacks, coffee service, and very soft sheets on a comfortable bed. Also appreciated the quiet surroundings on a side street.
The parking is a bit tricky, with designated spaces in front of each room. A bit hard to exit unless one backs into the space, which also is not easy.

The room was immaculate. It was a couple blocks to the beach. The staff was friendly and helpful. They gave recommendations to restaurants in the area. They had everything you could want for a beach vacation. They had beach chairs, towels, boogie boards and bicycles to loan you. It is a boutique hotel all on one level with tables and chairs with plants and flowers galore to give you a peaceful relaxing place to relax and restore. Moe of a romantic get-a-way than a family place. Our room #5 had an actual antique decor with a mini kitchen fully stocked with coffee and half and half in the refrigerator. We stayed for 5 days and we loved it.
There was nothing to improve.

Access to the bikes was great fun! The bed was comfortable and the suite had everything we needed. Our hosts had excellent recommendations for local restaurants to try.
Everything was great! Definitely recommend this accomodation for couples looking for a quiet retreat and easy access to the beach.

Harbor House Inn is an absolute treasure! This small, quaint, family-run inn is without question our most favorite lodging in Santa Barbara. The owners obviously take great pride in the property. The rooms are amazingly clean, each is unique and tastefully decorated. The brick courtyard/parking area is filled with beautiful planters overflowing with gorgeous flowers. The beds are the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in. The location is unbeatable - quiet, convenient to great restaurants and the harbor, and an easy walk to downtown.

The location is great, two minute walk to the beach, less than 1/2miles to the pier. The kitchen although small had everything you could need, pots, pans, dishes, salt, pepper, coffee, hot chocolate and even some butter, micro, stove top, small fridge w/freezer. The motel is old but very well kept up and clean. The bed is quite high, wife had to use a chair to climb in, but was comfy and had a ton of covers. I will try to stay there again next time in Santa Barbara. The courtyard/parking area w/seating and plants is compressed but extremely attractive.
The bed was a little too high but apart from that everything was perfect.

Clean and comfortable. A wonderful place to stay. Quiet and very nice. A lovely place to walk and a close drive to the city center.
The bathtub plug was not closing all the way, so water was going down. I had to put my foot on it to prevent water from going down. I spent time trying to figure it out. I think you guys need to buy a new plug for the bathtub drain.

The room felt like living in an actual apartment. You had pretty much everything you could need other than a washer/dryer, it was awesome. I love that it's a 10 minute walk to the funk zone. It gives you a lot of options for drinks and food at night without needing to drive around. I didn't feel unsafe walking either. Easily the best hotel I've stayed at.
Only negative feedback I'd submit was the blanket for the bed seemed small. Ended up wrasslin my girlfriend for it at night. The pillows could also be a bit better but that's the only nitpick.

Excellent family-owned hotel with lovely rooms in a great location. The property was close to the beach and quiet. The rooms have a pleasing aesthetic. It feels more like an apartment than a hotel room. In my room, the TV was at an odd angle and hard to watch if you are a TV person.

Helpfulness of staff (Cody). Spaciousness of room, which was a little apartment), cleanliness, great bed, and the loveliness of the foliage around the Inn. Quiet. Appreciated the attention to safeguarding the environment. Kitchen had all the basics needed. I loved staying there.
