Royal Copenhagen Inn

The room was bigger than expected. Nowadays hotel rooms can be so small, but we had 2 queen size beds and plenty of floor space. We were there to run the SB Wine Half Marathon, so the extra floor space to stretch was nice. It was on the older side, but I thought it was clean and well taken care of. Check-in was quick and easy, and attendant was very nice. We were surprised to see that there was a pool, with a putting area, and some lawn games available for guests. LOCATION is great too. Near Olsens Danish Bakery, Solvang Brewery and Paula's Pancake House. We walked everywhere.

The "continental" breakfast, is just checking off some breakfast items that they can deliver to you.

I liked the fact that the pool area had games included. It was pleasant to get breakfast delivered to our door every morning. And we liked how central the hotel was.I've been to Solvang many times and stayed at King Frederick and this is so much nicer! The rooms have more space and it feels cleaner and more airy.

It's a small preference, but I wish that actual coffee has been delivered to my room instead of the packets. I do not like using hotel coffee machines. Also, the packets were a dark roast that was hard to handle.

The room was cute, spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. And they give you a continental breakfast via room service, including very fresh pastries! And you really can't beat the location! We were able to walk everywhere!

I only wish we could have stayed longer! And the ability to stream Netflix directly through the TV would have been nice. But we were only briefly in the room since there is so much to see outside!

The location is just in the downtown of Solvang. Easy to go anywhere in the town by walk. I lost my shirt with credit card as well as $50 in the bed and noted after leaving the town.The staff has been taken good care of the items and provided solutions to help. The inn is reliable and comfortable place to stay. I would strongly recommend the hotel to travelers. I appreciated their effort and integrity. A very good place to stay.

The breakfast is a bit limited but the foods are very local with good quality.

I loved the fact that the property was in a relatively quiet location not too far from the heart of Solvang. The TCI staff was friendly, helpful and personable! I loved the fact that the complimentary b-fast was delivered to our door every morning. The pool area was fantastic with lots of activities to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable (oversized chess/checkers, putt putt, connect four, corn hole and of course the pool!!! Overall we had a FANTASTIC STAY to celebrate our 22nd anniversary. I would DEFINITELY recommend the RCI to all my friends and family! Keep up the great work!!!!

NOTHING!!! Although the room keys ate somewhat finicky, the front desk was VERY accommodating and immediately replaced it with a working key card!!!

The breakfast was a nice touch. You could choose from pastry, cereal, yogurt and string cheese (or all of them). Delivered to your door at time requested, loved this! There is a great breakfast spot walking distance so you may want forgo the breakfast or store for snacks.

There was no bathtub for the little one, so if you plan on staying a while, or having beach days while there, think about the bathing vs shower only option for your kiddos.

The front desk staff were very helpful, accommodating and friendly. They let us park in the hotel lot and walk around town after we checked out. We accidentally left something behind in the room and they called within 30 minutes of us checking out to let us know! We hadn't left town yet, so it was perfect! The room was very large, very clean and well appointed. PLUS it was very well sound-insulated. The hotel was pretty full and we didn't hear anyone! The little breakfasts were just enough and they delivered them to the room in a little bag! So sweet and so nice. Plus it is in the center of town and right by Succulent Café, the best restaurant in town!

It could have a little more lighting, like one over the little eating table.

Quaint, very clean and perfect location. All and I mean the staff were excellent. very helpful and welcoming. Would definitely stay again and I am usually a Hilton kind of person. I usually spray all over the rooms, use my own pillow case and my own towels. I didn’t do any of that. And the towels are Fluffy and soft!

hmmm if I had to really come up with something, I would say an ice machine in each building.But that was forcing me to come up with something.

Great location, friendly staff, very accommodating. The room was a good size & clean and had a refrigerator. Close to downtown and lots of good restaurants. They had a pool, vending machines, and an ice machine, and served a continental breakfast that you choose that is delivered to your room.

We had the front room and could hear the street noise in the morning.

A very nice hotel in the heart of town. The rooms are a good size, clean and have everything you need. Beds are comfortable and the room had all the amenities necessary. They delivered a grab and go type breakfast in the morning to our door; we had chosen what we wanted the night before. I really liked this little perk! You could always take with you for later if you were planning on going out for breakfast. I would stay here again when in the area.
