The Landsby

The attention to detail at The Landsby is unmatched. Last time we came to Solvang, we saw this hotel and wanted to stay there next time. It was totally worth the hype -- coming back to this town and staying at The Landsby was a great choice. It has a great central location and the facilities are immaculate. The staff are friendly and Danish craftsmanship was evident everywhere. All of the rooms, building supports, and stairwells were well-crafted from wood and the establishment had a lot of class. If you stay here, you must eat at Mad & Vin, the on-site restaurant. We practically came to Solvang just to stay here and eat at the restaurant -- it's that good! There's coffee in the lobby in the morning and a bar, as well. As an extra touch, I loved that all the room keys were physical keys and had custom leather straps.

No continental breakfast, which would have been nice for the price point. We stayed on a weekday to avoid the high rates on the weekends.

The Landsby was a very cute hotel, matching the esthetic of Solvang. We stayed in a spacious room with a queen bed and the price was very good. The hotel had a bar/restaurant on the lobby level. The location was within walking distance of everything we wanted to visit, wether it was a steak house, a good breakfast place, or numerous wine tasting places or pastry shops. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The thermostat was a bit tricky to figure out at first, but after playing with it a bit we figured it out.

overall, a very nice hotel, and ambiance, including a very nice restaurant and bar on the lobby area! Walking distance from everything, and just minutes away from wineries, and other outdoor activities that most people like! We will definitely stay here again!

Perhaps parking fee could be a bit less, plus breakfast option wouldn't be a bad item to have at this lovely hotel!

Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Room was clean. A/C worked well. Front desk staff was friendly. We had dinner at Mad and Vin, but did not charge it to the room. Delicious food. Very convenient to the Theaterfest theatre.

When we used to stay at the Petersen Inn (the original name of this hotel), it was a bed and breakfast. It would be nice if breakfast were included.

Breakfast was excellent as was dinner. The location is central so convenient to everything. The design of the interiors is very tasteful and reflected in the choice of fittings and furniture. The bedroom was very well furnished and comfortable.

Perhaps a slightly earlier check in time would give you more time to explore.

Nicely remodeled. Room is large and spacious. Sheets nice and soft. Location is walking distance to everything. Restaurant happy hour is great. Staff is nice.

Additional $20 parking fee. Walls are thin so we hear everything (conversations, vacuuming, kids running). Keys are bulky to carry around.

The location was excellent. Everything in the town was within a comfortable walking distance. The surrounding wineries were easy to find per maps from the information center in town. The room was very well kept and comfortable. The in-room artwork was above the quality seen in most hotels.

Excellent location to explore Danish Village and surrounding wineries. Spacious and clean room with a view of the "Danish Village". Charming boutique hotel with welcoming staff. Comfortable lounge with a bar and restaurant. Nice outdoor courtyards with fire pits.

We enjoyed the convenience of the downtown location. The property had a nice clean and modern feel. The staff was friendly and there was a little impromptu concert in the courtyard

Could use new carpeting or flooring in the hotel corridors upstairs

Clean, modern, a great reflection of the surrounding Danish architecture.

The only thing that was a little off putting was the strong soap-like smell when we first entered. It was so strong, it felt like it was trying to cover up some type of unpleasant smell.
