This is a great hotel, really lovely welcome on arrival with complimentary tea and coffee. Lovely spacious clean room. Beautiful swimming pool and hot tub with lovely tubs of flowers round. The evening meal was an unexpected bonus. Really lovely staff, great food, 2 vouchers each provided for drinks - we had 2 lovely margaritas each. Lovely singer guitarist playing during our meal. Really good breakfast the following morning - perfect stop over on our Californian road trip.

I couldn’t find a hair dryer and reception didn’t know where it was kept either - maybe a list in reception for staff of where everything is in the rooms so that they can help people. Didn’t matter too much for me as we only had a driving day ahead but if people were going somewhere special, not to be able to do their hair properly could spoil their next day.

Due to a change of plans on our end, we scrambled to book a last minute room in the area. Luckily we were able to get a King room here at 10pm on a Saturday. While the rooms are a bit dated, everything was clean and as comfortable as you'd expect. There is a pool on site, free parking, and they offer free drink tokens when you check in for use at their onsite bar/restaurant which hosts a very good happy hour! Our experience at the bar was wonderful with a very hard working and attentive bartender and friendly bar patrons. They do a made to order continental breakfast in the morning and offer it to go if you're in a rush. The front desk also has dvds, snacks, and other tid bits to help enhance your stay. All in all wonderful value and experience. Would 100% stay here again if in the area.

Received a gracious warm welcome from the front desk woman. Bed was VERY comfortable. The "cooked to order" breakfast the next morning was fantastic. Tthe laundry facilities for guests are free. And to top it off there is a "Happy Hour" with hosted drinks every afternoon!

This obviously an older motel but it has been updated as much as possible. A few quirky features: bathroom (tub and toilet room) is small and fan is very noisy; there was a full size refrigerator in our room; there is no elevator (but only two floors so the maximum stair climb is one floor up).

Very friendly staff. Explained how the evening cocktail reception worked as well as the complimentary cooked to order breakfast. It was mid week off season so it was relatively slow. Made it relaxing and enjoyable. Location great if traveling the central coast of California. It was a great stopping point north of LA. The women working the bar was a very friendly British lady who was fun to talk to. Good hospitality.

Room was a little dated. But considering the price and everything worked fine it was a very good value

Friendly accommodating and some free perks..free breakfast was outstanding they also give a couple free drinks daily..the grounds are clean and the pool and jacuzzi is great. Dog friendly and quiet. Also liked that there is cameras everywhere.

Room 108 is a bit run down but it is a dog friendly room only thing I didn't like about the room was it is located across from housekeeping so if u wish to sleep in its not the room but it is located next to parking so u can keep an eye on your vehicle.

The O'Cairns staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The complimentary, made to order breakfast in the restaurant was great, as were the tokens for complimentary drinks during happy hour (even live entertainment on Saturday night). Location was convenient for all local attractions.

It is an older facility and there is no elevator, which might be an issue for some. Lighting in the rooms is poor - forget about being able to read in bed, but the TV is huge!

Breakfast was delicious with choice of eggs/potato/breakfast burrito. Room very appealing and amply spacious. Not far away is the center of Lompoc which had both a Heritage Trail and a tour of Murals (at least 40-50) which complemented the Heritage Tour. In fact, I would suggest to the historical society, etc., that they combine the tours one day. We came in fall so the flower fields were not blooming, but the murals gave a taste of it. There was a delicious middle Eastern food place not far away, too.

No complaints. I have already suggested to friends who don't have a big hotel budget, to consider staying in this hotel in Lompoc when visiting the Santa Ynez.Valley, including Solvang which is just 14 miles away. I would also try to go in May or June when the flower fields are supposed to be the best (May is what the locals said).

The breakfast was fabulous, evening happy hour and restaurant service great. Service at all times, from all staff, stellar!

What could make this property even better would be updating the rooms, particularly the carpet and dressers in some rooms. Also, the pool only opened at the posted time of 9am once during our 5 day stay, having that open consistently on time would be another area of improvement opportunity.

The cooked-to-order breakfast was delicious. We had an everything omelet with seasoned potatoes and French toast. (Their amazing French toast was one of the two sides you could choose!) The room was clean and very quiet. We loved the proximity to the Lompoc Wine Ghetto. The staff was very friendly, including the front desk, bartender, chef, and servers. We love to play shuffleboard and they gave us free drink tokens for Happy Hour. We were able to meet some nice people like Tony, Brent, Sarah, and Melissa.
