Vinland Hotel and Lounge

#1. It’s dog friendly. We take our girl everywhere and she loves the hotel. Nice area to walk her. #2. Price is excellent for what you get. #3. Rooms are well appointed and very roomy. Very clean. Quiet. #4. Appreciate the on-site parking. #5. Wonderful staff. From check-in to check-out, everyone we encountered was so friendly and welcoming. #6. Fabulous location. Can walk to restaurants, shops and wine bars.

The room rate is a great value. However it does add up when a resort fee is tacked on. There are already enough extra charges with all the taxes.

the staff was superior. I talked to three different staff members and all were cheerful and knowledgeable. There is a microwave oven and a mini-fridge. Also coffee maker with pods.

There is a $15 resort fee. While a nice place,it is not a resort and the fee is a surprise. The mini-fridge didn’t have a small freezer for me to refreeze my Blue Ice. The Vinland doesn’t serve breakfast and in the Booking.com comments/questions section,breakfast is mentioned.I booked thinking breakfast was part of the package. Read the fine print before paying,it seems. Only Tesla recharging stations. I have a PHEV non- Tesla so I couldn’t charge my vehicle.

My daughter and I have stayed here a few times. We have stayed at several places in Solvang but always come back to Vinland. My daughter is a quadriplegic and we absolutely love the ADA room. On our last visit, the shower chair was different than one we normally use and we were told it is no longer on sight. She wasn’t able to use the bench because she doesn’t have full use of her hands. The other chair had bars where she could put her arm in and pull herself over. Because of this, she wasn’t able to shower the 4 days we were there. We love everything about the Vinland but next time we need to find better accommodations for her.

Big rooms. Located just a block from the Solvang village. Good price. Staff were friendly. Pool and jacuzzi was fun and good hours. TV cable was quite expansive and I appreciate that the remote was like a residential cable remote so easy to use.

I didn't know that they provided pool towels. No housekeeping services were provided to my room during my stay. Walls are quite thin. Shower water spills onto floor that floor mat soaking after every shower, due to minimal shower lip.

Front desk people are always amazing and kind. They go above and beyond when they are able and if they're not able they are very honest with there reasonings. Very welcoming and wonderful. We love staying here.

That, upon returning to the hotel after a concert we had attended, we were hungry, I mean....HANGERY!!! Went to the bar to grab something for 6 people which cost a chunk of change, $169.00 I believe it was. We clearly did NOT receive the majority of our order and when I questioned the bartender he simply stated that they combined all 6 orders of chicken nuggets and all 6 orders of Mac n cheese into the containers we'd received. This has been the ONLY time we've ever been disappointed with anything at your establishment but we will continue to keep coming back whenever we are in town.

I loved our hotel room. The staff was very helpful and nice. We really enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. We did enjoy the happy hour.

I don't think there was anything we didn't like. I mean it's different from most hotels. They don't offer I can't think of the word at the moment but when they come and clean your room each day but if you need anything you just ask for it and they'll bring it to you. Which is fine. We weren't of want of anything. I do wish they had more complimentary items. Although they did have complimentary coffee not only hot brew but cold brew which was quite lovely.

This was such a cute property! The outside was so charming! I loved that about this place! But the inside was absolutely beautiful. The first time we walked into the room I fell in love. It was so clean and comfortable. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. This was just an amazing place to stay at because it was so close to all the shops. The lounge was also so great. Our bartender was amazing, I didn’t get their name but absolutely above and beyond with the service! I’m so sad that we had to leave. I will definitely be coming here and staying at this hotel every year. We loved it so much!

Absolutely nothing I loved everything

Charming place. I liked my room, it was large and roomy. I loved that it had fridge and microwave! It had enough hangers and enough space to hang stuff for a couple of days. I loved the shower and the sink being outside of the bathroom. They clearly thought of function! They thought of everything! Also, ALL of the staff were friendly and helpful. They all served smiles. I've stayed in big hotels where you're just a number and customer service or common decency doesn't seem to apply. Smiles go a long way. They added the personal touch with the eye contact and smile which made the visit all the more memorable.

Would be nice to have hot water and tea as an option with the coffee bar in the lobby but even having coffee readily available 24/7 is already fantastic. I really don't have anything I didn't like. If I had to give a letter grade, it's an A in my book.

it’s the beginning of Sulvang. Almost everything is at walking distance. To enter the hallways you are required to use your room key car.

I like that it’s pet friendly but we had 3 dogs in our hall and they were always barking. we couldn’t walk the hall without dog’s barking from inside their room. If anyone walked by their door they would start making so much noise with their barking. It wax annoying and would wake me up through the night because I am a light sleeper due to pregnancy

Location, shower & water pressure was Awesome, open design, slippers, complimentary bottled water, covered parking facility, overall cleanliness, cleaning staff very helpful & friendly.

No hot water for tea. That was very disappointing since I’m a hot tea drinker. No exercise facility. No breakfast options offered. No Storage options for clothes (ie. drawers, shelves, even a table).
