Bluebird Day Inn & Suites

Our stay at Bluebird Inn was fantastic. The Inn is about 5 minutes from the Heavenly Town center, and within walking distance of the casinos. The rooms were very clean, there was no issue with loud guests or neighbors and you could not hear the main road from our studio in the back. The facilities were quaint and small, but they offered morning coffee and a laundry area for post-beach days. But the best part about the entire stay was the staff. They were all incredibly friendly and accommodating. When I travel back to South Lake, Bluebird will be my first choice!

The property doesn’t look the best from the outside, but the rooms are nicely updated. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

I wish the rooms had 2 chairs. If the room had two chairs, we would’ve been able to use the chairs at the desk for somewhere to eat with only one chair, and one of us had to sit on the bed to eat, while the other was at the desk, or we had to take turns eating at the desk. 

Staff were wonderful to us. We arrived a day earlier then anticipated and staff arranged a room for the extra night. We were upgraded to the suite, which was perfect for my daughter and I staying 4 nights to give us our own space. Situated in central position, walking distance to the lake and close drive to casinos and great restaurants. Beds were really comfortable, quality sheets and we had a little fridge, microwave and coffee was available at reception at 7am. Great value for money.

The toilet was kind of low to the ground but I am very tall… It was perfect for my shorter friends.

The bed was very comfortable!! The location is wonderful. Great restaurant across the street. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The TV wasn't working but that was OK with us as we were tired and went to bed early. We told the owner about the TV. She thanked us and said she would have it checked out. This is an older place but nice. I would stay here again.

Bed! I have back issues amd this was the mist comfortable bed I have slept in.

The place is in general clean and looks that owner wants to improve the quality amd renovates the place, however we spotted some ants getting into the room from small whole in the entrance.

The front desk lady was welcoming. the room warm, they had great shovels for the snow and car. The maintenance guy went above and beyond for us! Our passenger window had broken and fallen into the door. He took the whole door panel off and fixed it. It was during the massive Snowstorm and we got lucky not have to stay there with an open car window...

Cheryl & Pete make you feel welcome, they let me preview rooms before booking, down to earth & friendly managers, beds are comfortable ,Heidi's Breakfast Restaurant across the street,Starbucks located in Safeway, take the road (walk) behind the place along Golf Course to Safeway ! Fresh coffee donuts at Safeway ! 😊

fantastic location within a moments walk to the lake, lots of places to eat and most importantly a friendly and safe local community. The lady who runs the show was absolutely lovely, she gave us great advice on where to hike and eat and went out of her way to make our stay amazing and memorable even giving us weather updates and a free room upgrade! 100% would recommend and it’s my place to stay in Lake Tahoe!
