Hilton Garden Inn Arvada/Denver, CO

The property was nice but nothing overly special, especially for the price

The pet fee is $75, which is steep compared to other comparable priced hotels. In the end after all the taxes and fees, our $205 room was $325. I know they don’t control taxes, but once you throw in a high pet fee that’s a big jump from $205. We also had to ask about breakfast being included - it’s mentioned here, but not included with all reservations. Otherwise a pretty sparse continental breakfast is $10ea. Not to mention that one of our juice glasses has lipstick on it, but nobody at our table aaa wearing lipstick. So gross!

Everything about this hotel is fantastic! It has an amazing location and is clean, comfortable and convenient. But, the best possible thing about this hotel is how it is run...it is old school...the staff are courteous, competent and caring. When was the last time you encountered this rarity in your travels?

Nothing. It was perfect.

Room was convenient, comfortable, & location was key factor. Had stayed one time before the year it opened.

Tried the breakfast, ordered a breakfast plate. Unfortunately the links (hard), & potatoes were pre-cooked...OVER cooked and cool, not good at all. Eggs were fine because cooked to order. The waitress was nice and applied a discount BUT really nothing should served that way. Cook should take better care on how & what he's doing.

We decided to stay in Arvada instead of downtown. It was a great move. We loved the location close to so many shops and restaurants. The parking is free and there's plenty of room. The facilities are nice and we used most of the services available. The indoor pool and hot tub were good as was the fitness room. The breakfast was reasonably priced with plenty of options. We had a drink in the bar and didn't feel like we were getting ripped off. All our interactions with the staff were friendly. Definitely give this Hilton Garden consideration when in Denver.

There's not much to complain about. The elevators are a little slow to open. Wow, is that even worth mentioning.

The staff were so courteous, friendly & helpful. Having worked in the hotel industry I know how much work it is to clean the rooms for your housekeeping staff. They should be given major kudos for their very good work, their courteousness and helpfulness. All while doing a hard job while wearing their masks!

The bathrooms really should have a night light in them. Also the lack of hooks in the bathroom made hanging our travel toilet kits impossible. There was (is) an abandoned car in the front parking lot near the public sidewalk. It's been crunched in front, both driver side tires are flat and the trunk deck is open. This could give others the impression that it's ok to dump other stolen cars there and could increase the likelyhood of guests having their cars broken into.

Property was clean and well maintained. Location a few blocks off a main interstate highway provided both quiet and convenience. The in-house restaurant and bar were also a plus.

Property was fully booked and service in the restaurant and bar was slow. Adding an extra waiter and bartender during such periods would make a big difference.

Front staff was friendly, professional and very accommodating to my request for early check in after arriving in Denver on a very early am flight with 2 tired children. Room was very clean, right and comfortable. Hotel was easy to locate and within easy 2 block walking distance of Old Town which was fun to explore after our afternoon nap.

Would have liked to have had a bathtub and shower instead of just a shower in the room for optimal "child friendliness", but that is all I would have changed.

Everything! The restaurant was excellent doing legitimate breakfasts, the bar at night was wonderful - especially bartender (Lisa.) The front desk staff (Lashawna) really worried about our safety heading back to Florida prior to Ian. And I've never seen such a cleaner hotel!

Very very minor. Could use towel bars in the bathroom. There was nowhere to hang towels.

I don't think breakfast was included. I wish it was included in the stay. Maybe it was included and I didn't notice.

I didn't like that I wasn't sure why I didn't get alot of money back from my deposit. I bought 2 things in the pantry but the money didn't add up as to why I only got $16.00 back but overall it's great.

The location was excellent.

I did not try the breakfast because there was a charge for it: $8.50 for a continental breakfast isn't my idea of a bargain. Also, although I paid with PayPal ahead of arrival, I was told at checkin that my credit card had been denied. I showed the confirmation and the "paid" statement online. The clerk tried again, and said this time it said "deferred", "which is another word for denied." I explained that the 2 words are not identical in meaning and asked him to try again. On the third try it worked, and he said, "It always takes 3 times." I didn't like that, at all.
