The location is great for winter activities. It is quite a large property which has dedicated facilities for each activity (dining, sleeping, swimming, skiing, reading, archery!, etc.) and you might have to drive for a few minutes in between buildings. There is certainly something to do for everyone in the family. Dinner was a buffet style which we liked especially with a toddler. The room was spacious and comfortable. The views are great! It is a pet friendly property and we did not have any issue with the dogs we encountered. It was quite at night as your "neighbors" follow the rules. The swimming pool was at capacity the first night, but we had it almost to ourselves on the second. Staff is very friendly and informative.

At night it can be a bit confusing to get from one building to the next. The horse riding/sleigh riding line goes to a full voicemail so we could not re-schedule our reservation when it was too windy to go.

Free buffet breakfast is fine, not great. Beds comfortable. Decent, adjustable lighting in rooms.

The common areas in our lodge smelled very very musty. Need to replace those carpets or something. Very loud in our room as it was next to a busy stairwell. Only dining choice was cafeteria -- other little takeout cafe closed for the season -- we ate in town. Would probably not stay in this particular lodge again.

This isn't luxury lodging; however, for the price it was great! Quiet, close to Winter Park Ski Mountain, clean and comfortable. The scenery was gorgeous. This is the only lodging place in WP that feels like you are in the mountains rather than in town. The free breakfast is cafeteria style and was good basic fair with a reasonable variety of selections.

There isn't a TV which is fine for us.

We loved the scenery and the large rooms as well as the ability to have our pets with us. Our kids ebbing the park right behind the lodge and the breakfast was wonderful.

We struggled finding our room after we got to our lodge as the map does not have the same room numbers as the doors on the rooms. We were sad the mini golf was under renovation for the couple hours we could have played and that the pool was closed the day of our stay so we didn't end up using any of the amenities provided with our stay which was a lot of the reason we chose this place over others.

Beautiful views of the mountains from our balcony. Plenty of space inside the room. Refrigerator and microwave in the room. There are several free activities available, such as swimming and mini golf.

Part of the siding on the outside of the building needed repair. The road to the lodge is dirt/gravel.

The view from the balcony (Indian Peaks Lodge) is absolutely exceptional and among the best views I've ever seen from a hotel room, especially for the cost of the room (and at a Y!). There are no TVs in the room, but the outdoor scenery is breathtaking and better than anything you can watch on the telly. There are plenty of outdoor activities, including the nordic center which connects to the property and also a short drive away. If/when you stay the day-pass to Nordic Center (~$25) is included making it a nice bonus, and enabling you to go out and ski/snowshoe etc. Rentals are available onsite if you don't have your own gear. I also inadvertently booked a week out from the intended stay somehow during the online booking process. The front desk team at the Y was helpful and kind in getting me sorted (although they didn't have to). This scenery and outdoor activities made this by far the coolest Y I've stayed at (and the first), and I will be back with my family next time and trying to stay here for more than 1 day next time... a truly exceptional experience that I'd recommend to anyone who's on the fence on a place to stay at winterpark or ~1hr away from Breck.

There are certain roads inside the facility have decent amount of snow/ice and it will be hard to pass in certain place if you don't have snowtires nor AWD -- we didn't encounter this issue, but I know my car would not have be able to make it to the lodge easily if I were travelling myself. This is a truly minor issue and I would not recommend visiting the mountain regions w/o AWD/Snowtires. Additionally, being a family friendly place, if you get a downstairs room and there's a family with children upstairs, it can be loud. If you get a room on the second floor, be mindful of your downstairs neighbors too.

Beautiful scenery, great value.

Allergies were well marked in the main dining room but terribly in the cafe above the Nordic Center. Seems like a small thing unless you have significant food allergies. The food was poorly or erroneously marked.... definitely an area for improvement.

We have stayed here many times to access skiing in Winter park. This time we stayed to explore and snow snowshoe. The premises are beautiful and bountiful. There are programs everywhere with activities for families. The people who work here are always ready to share ideas and their favorite places. We will be coming back.

The quiet hours are 7 am to 10pm and if you are unlucky to get a family above you (in the Lodges) who is very loud and disrespectful, the hours are night are too late. Wish they would shorten the time to 9 pm, seems like a better range for families with kids. This is not the problem of the establishment but this particular family. We never had this happened before.
