Georgetown Mountain Inn

Easy to find. Good overall breakfast offering. Pleasant little town. We were there for just an overnight on our road trip, but this was one of our better stays and values for the money. Close to Denver and close to our next destination. We would have stayed in Denver, but everything we saw was a rip off, this was just a little bit further down the road and we are glad that we made the drive. Staff super helpful and friendly.

No real complaints. Georgetown is a little mountain town, so the property is a simple roadside motel. I would consider staying there again.

We stayed here overnight on our return trip home. It is very easy to get to off of interstate 70. It is an older motel-type inn, but our room was clean and very quiet. We had everything we needed for our one night stay. Pete - at the front desk - was very helpful. Some beautiful scenery surrounding Georgetown. We ate a late lunch at a brewery type restaurant by the lake. Good food in a very pretty setting. We left very early the next morning, so I don’t know if they had any breakfast items, other than coffee.

The staffs were very friendly and nice. We had to call for arranging a super late checkin (3 am) and they were very nice and helpful. Easy to find parking on site or in the nearby regions. Breakfast was simple but good enough for skiing trip. Our room was not in its perfect condition tbh, but overall the room is very clean and the bed is very comfy. We also love the hot tub on site. (Btw that restaurant right outside of the hotel has good pizza rolls but we don’t recommend their spaghetti). Overall we love the staffs, the cleanliness, and the location!

I liked the room because it was different and had everything we needed to cook and clean with. The room was well prepared for our full stay. We did not need our room cleaned during our stay because it was sufficiently stocked. We stayed in the suite above the lobby. The stars and the creek are visible from the suite balcony. I walked to the Georgetown loop railroad and we all had a ball on the train. Very nice shops nearby. You do not need off road or four wheel drive in the summer. Very easy to get to so if you wanted to drive 45 minutes from Denver at night you won't have trouble because the inn is just off I-70 and easy access. Guanella pass trails and the 730 trails are nearby. I also heard about Silver Plume/the Argentine trail. I'm sure there is more to do or more stuff is open past 8, but probably not based mostly on what the locals will tell you. The bar down the street was a good experience and is open until... McDonald's in Idaho Springs is open late 17 min east off 70. Mountains were spectacular! Bed in master bedroom was comfy enough. Plenty of extra beds in the room. I loved how big the suite was. It was truly a one bedroom apartment. ALL LOCALS ARE FRIENDLY! The picture was from the park 2 or 3 blocks down the street that we took the kids to, they loved it. I didn't think to take more pics of the room. Too busy enjoying the trip.

Everything but a bar and gas station closes in Georgetown around 8pm so if you want nightlife or late night food you'll probably have to go to Denver or Lakewood. We were happy without all that because of the stars and creek right outside.

we love the personal “mom and pop” type hotels, because of personality and kindness! A healthy continental style breakfast with selection of teas, good coffee, fruits, oatmeal, power bars, boiled eggs and muffins. stylish dated clean comfortable rooms, with great old fashion powerful hot showers! fair prices located about a hour and 15 minutes west, from Denver airport. located in an historic town, with a steam engine railroad. perfect way to start your journey west, to the mountains, and on to the many national parks!

Very personable staff; friendly upon arrival and very accommodating. The hotel is dated, but I feel like I got more than I paid for because of the staff's enthusiasm. The breakfast was a win with lots of continental options and the coffee was some of the best I've had traveling! My interaction with Pete was one of my highlights of my stay too; its quiet, comfortable and felt like home with an old cabin coziness to it.

Limited and exposed outlets but I knew that when I booked. Be sure to bring your own pillows! Honestly, this place is one of my favorites! So no real complaints!

Room was perfect! Affordable, clean, had a cabin feel, great view of the mountains when looking out the window. Bathroom was large and shower had great water pressure. We are thinking about staying here again next year for another ski trip. Under 20min drive to Loveland ski area.

Not a lot of eating options in the area. Pho Bay and Cabin Creek Brewing are just about the only places open in the evenings.

It was a very quaint motel. The bed was very comfy. Continental breakfast was good. Staff was friendly.

They did not have a ground level room available, even though I asked for one. I am a few months out from double knee replacement, and those stairs were a killer! Also, I'm not sure if everyone has to put their own sheets on the bed, but we did! Never had to do that at a motel before!

great value, good location, rooms of decent size. indoor pool and a outdoor hot tub available. clean. near restaurants in the little town. have rooms that connect to each other. basic continental breakfast provided.

beds are not super comfortable, fan in my room didn't work but there was a portable fan. parking lots a little tight but can get in even with a big truck.

Pete was so kind and easy to work with when we were not going to be able to make check-in due to a delayed flight! I was also pleasantly surprised by the breakfast— good pre-ski options such as bananas, muffins, oatmeal. They even had stevia for the coffee! Room was great, hot tub outside was awesome.

The only thing was our shower would never get hot—lukewarm at the most, I let it run for a long time and never got hotter. Sink water would get super hot however!
