The Simsbury Inn

The location served our purpose, while our home was going through a renovation. The pub was excellent, good food, drink and the staff was welcoming and friendly. The free continental breakfast was also very good with plenty of nutritious food. The Inn was very nice, well appointed and common areas represented New England and the local community very well.

Shower/bath needs minor updating.

Sadly I'm allergic to feathers ...did not realize all pillows were down. Had a tough time ..had to put the pillows outside the room..lots of antihistamines. Would be good if told that pillows were down so an alternative could be offered. This is a common allergy. Can't be the only guest to struggle with this.

We stayed at this property while our one bathroom is being renovated. We live less than two miles away. The breakfast was very good and there was a varied assortment. The room was well appointed and quiet. The bar and restaurant were enjoyable and the staff was very welcoming and friendly.

We only stayed one night. During that time there was nothing notable that we did not like.

Not a lot really ! - to add to the glamour of the place, the breakfast could be better presented. Admittedly a very minor point. I would have loved an espresso!

The location is beautiful.

The rooms are outdated. my bathroom shower was awful. It had a mild flow of water. The shower to tub diverted was broken. The TV was not a smart TV. For the $250 a night I should not have to watch Netflix on my iPad. The mattress was hard and creaked.

The room was comfortable and the pool area was enjoyable.

I've had much better continental breakfasts at "lesser" hotels. It was truly disappointing and so we ended up at the onsite Nutmeg cafe and the quality wasn't much better. For the cost of the room per night, better breakfast options should be available. If that's not possible, then reduce the rate, do away with the breakfast and refer out to a local business.

Beautiful old hotel! wonderful Christmas decorations. Breakfast was a simple continental breakfast….. coffee , juice, tea, assorted pastries, yogurt, hard boiled eggs. Traveling for holidays, checked in late and on the road early! Would have loved to hang out and explore the hotel amenities!

Very spacious and quiet room. Delicious Harney teas available plus good coffee and assortment of continental breakfast items. Room temperature was perfect for sleeping. Overall charming and pleasant.

Mattress was on the hard side and a bit lumpy. Shower spray was functional but half the water was pouring out of the spigot.

We like the hotel and always stay here when we come to the Hartford area. Rooms are clean, large. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. It costs a bit more than other hotels and we don't take full advantage of the amenities so we probably do not get full value but that's on us.

The coffee could be better.

The breakfast was more than expected with several options The location was great for our visit with relatives. The property was pleasant.

We had noisy neighbors who after being spoken to several times continued with their disrespectful behavior. We had an early morning event so this posed a problem for us. The staff did what they could on our behalf. The Inn was full so moving to another room was not an option.
