Great location. A old motel but nicely updated. Clean room. Comfortable bed.

No ice or microwave unless someone was in the office to provide it. Aerator was missing on faucet so it sprayed everywhere. Toilet was not grouted at base (a code violation) so it was loose and wobbled. Not one single towel bar in this room. Advertised it was pet friendly but after arrival there was a note in the room that you could not leave your pet in the room unattended, no exceptions. This is almost impossible to do. I had no choice but to violate the rule to attend to my daughter's wedding. My dog does not bark when left alone. I would stay again if it were not for this restriction.

only internet tv. no broadcast tv (abc, cbs, nbc, or ESPN). couldn’t watch any NFL, or college playoff games , 60minutes, or msnbc

I’ve stayed at a number of different hotels and air bnbs in the Delray/Boca Raton area over the years. Atlantic Hideaway is definitely at the top of my list of favorite experiences. The bed was super comfortable, the shower was huge and upgraded, and there was a nice sized smart Tv. The bathroom wasn’t directly in the bedroom area, which I really liked. Just some added privacy. There was also a massive closet for longer term visits or luggage. I wish I could have stayed longer than 2 nights, but unfortunately my boyfriend had to go back to work. If he had more time off, we absolutely would have stayed longer. Check in was super easy, and everyone was very nice and helpful. Hailey was super sweet.

I can’t think of many negatives, and the 2 that come to mind are not really in the hotel’s control. The road noise was a bit loud, but it’s off main roads, so that comes with the territory of staying downtown. The landscaping people were mowing the lawn and weed whacking a little early in the morning in my opinion, but they have to do their jobs, and likely have other jobs to do afterwards, so that’s not something that the hotel can control either. Those are the two changes I’d make if I could, but besides them, it was generally pretty quiet.

Location

Text communication was terse. “Live” staff were great and made up for the terse (almost unfriendly) text communication with owners. Also, there’s a well-intentioned non-smoking penalty. However, upon reading that clause in the check-in agreement makes it appear that smoking IS tolerated. Instead, the agreement ought to explicitly state that smoking in the rooms is absolutely not allowed!! We almost cancelled our stay. Glad we didn’t as the room was fine.

The location in Delray is perfect. The room is relatively big and the bed is very comfy. Overall we were satisfied.

Not something major but should be taken into consideration: It's takes a lot of time to figure out the door locking mechanism. Even if it comes with a code, sometimes it doesn't lock so you need to try again and again. Also the water stream in the shower is too weak.

This is a quaint motel with an excellent location. I usually stay at larger chain hotels. I decided to stay here and I was very impressed. It was super clean, lots of charm and pretty landscaping. I have stayed here 3 times in the past few weeks and will return the next time I’m in town.

This is just a small negative. No coffee stirrers in the room. I just brought some plastic spoons my 2nd and 3rd visit.

We didn’t know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. We thought it was a little closer to the beach but the “freebie” shuttle was most convenient to get us there and back. The staff was awesome and helpful, the room was clean except for lizards, but that’s being in south Florida! We loved our stay and will definitely stay again!

Not much too say

This tucked away, boutique hotel was perfect for my stay with my partner. Location is great- moments from downtown delray. Self check in was a breeze. The room was super clean and had all that we needed. Cleaning services came every weekday to collect towels and make the bed. Would love to return one day, thank you Atlantic hideaway!

Staff and location were both fantastic for exploring del ray beach and it’s downtown. Could easy walk to both.

Room layout was a bit strange with the bathroom sink being external to the actual bathroom. The facilities windows were old and let in a lot of the external damp air that had to be managed with the hvac system which was also aged and produced a lot of noise.
