Hampton Inn Ft Lauderdale Airport North

Great location for airport transit, super clean and perfect for families. Microwave and fridge in room allows to be with little ones. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a shuttle to the airport but as we had a car we were able to drive to car rental return in less than 10 minutes. Breakfast is pretty good with eggs, bread, bagels, waffles, and pancakes, as well as several juices, coffee and cereal choices, etc. Served as early as 6am. We were even able to go to the beach (about 15 minutes away) and there are several stores at a short distance. Mc Donald, the dollar store and Big lots are across the street as well as a pizza place and a couple of other restaurants. It is the perfect place if you are in transit or even for a short vacation in Fort Lauderdale.

Breakfast was nice...you got to choose from a variety of continental dishes ...light roasted coffee was awesome & the location was right on target..easy to find close to airport & harbor which was a plus. Highly recommended for a stay. The driver of the shuttle bus went above & beyond to assist me & my family with packing our stuff into our rental van.. so sorry I don't remember his name but he got an A star rating from me..

Coffee and tea is a 24hr complimentary drink which is good. Unfortunately upon an early check out (4:30 am) none was available which sucked because I was looking forward to a pick me upper from the light roasted coffee..

Tom Oster was very courteous and quickly found our registration. He offered info on a good local restaurant. He offered, and we accepted a very convenient room on the ground floor. Our breakfast was exceptional with all of the items offered. It was very tasty and well presented. Our room was clean and had many amenities like a large flat screen tv, hair dryer, iron and ironing board and much more. A very exceptional offering was the shuttle service to and from the cruise port and the allowance to leave our car parked at the hotel location. Very courteous shuttle bus driver. The entire event - EXCEPTIONAL

No down side to this experience!

Pleasant and clean room. Comfortable bed. Free parking. Relatively short trip from airport.

The nighttime front desk person was away from the front desk and having a private conversation on a telephone for a while before coming to the front desk to check me in. Since the area was not trendy, I considered the price higher than warranted. Late at night, a person carrying what looked like a black garbage bag, perhaps a transient, was roaming the back parking lot and asked me for directions to the airport, which made me uncomfortable. If they do not already, they should expel non-guests, from their back parking lot. The back parking lot door was locked late at night, forcing me to walk all the way around the building to enter through the front doors. Breakfast did not have any non-dairy milk options.

The facility was clean and was within walking distance from lots of amenities...also enjoyed the free shuttle service to the airport and other locations.

I didn't like that they had new staff training with only one other experienced staff member at such a busy time. It seemed to overwork the experience staff person, made the new person feel helpless and frustrated me as a guest because I had to wait for the experienced staff person to do ALL of the work with other guests before they could help me. so many people it was just more efficient to just do the work than to take the time to train the new staff.

I have been coming to this hotel for a few years now, mainly as a layover for business and leisure. It’s location works well for me for many reasons and I am sure of you have done your research it will be for you also. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly with a genuine attitude. The pool is good for a quick dip and is well maintained. This is not my first review not my last as I am circling back to this hotel a week later for a couple of days before heading to the Miami airport for a flight out. If the location works for you you won’t be disappointed with this hotel as it is very clean and it has a good vibe.

The breakfast is good but you need to get there early and I mean around 6am! Go for breakfast at 8am or 9am and as a regular at the hotel I know there will be many missing items you would normally find in the early hours.

The staff was EXCEPTIONALLY friendly, helpful and efficient. I even made this remark to the desk clerk upon checkout. Every single interaction, including the cleaning staff, was met with a smile. They all seemed eager to answer any questions, unlike other places we stayed at during the week that seemed bothered by any interaction. Based on this alone, I would recommend!

No matter how low we set the temperature, the room never cooled off. It said it was 70 degrees, but all 5 of us were too hot to get a comfortable sleep. We felt as if it were controlled by the hotel instead of by individual rooms.

This Hampton Inn is Awesome. i notified the property that we would be arriving late because of flight changes. Then when our plane was delayed 7 hours, i called the property & told them we would need to cancel because we would not be arriving into zFort Lauderdale until 8 in the morning. Even though it was at the non-refundable stage of my reservation, I was not charged for the room. Hampton Inn is the best.

Location, super clean, safe, comfortable beds! The hallway and room looked and smelled very clean! Right next to a little plaza with stores and a supermarket.

Being under construction made it a little uncomfortable but would not have been a big deal had it not been that while on breakfast, the roof started leaking just by were the light was. Very dangerous! Breakfast was very poor, there was not even eggs at all. What we really had a problem with was that even though breakfast was supposed to be until 10, and we were there before 8:30, we felt like we were being rushed since we walked in there. Three employees, one the cook and two ladies with a mop in their hands, waiting for us to leave. They just stood by us the whole time, literally looking at us... very uncomfortable.

Room is spacious. Hotel looks new and very well maintained. Beds are comfortable, bathroom is good. It was very convenient location for us to stay right before our early flight next morning ( took 6min. to go to FLL at 5am). The only thing even though we asked for breakfast to go to be ready at 5am, it was not ready. Also we asked for wake up call service and again, although we have been told that we will be called, there was no wake up call from the reception in the morning.Glad that we additionally set an alarm.
