Hampton Inn & Suites Fort Myers Beach/Sanibel Gateway

Despite it's distance from the airport/beach, there is usable buses right next door for both of them. There are two diners next to it, and one Walmart, so the location was very convinient with no car. The room was clean, comfortable, well equipped and big. The pool, breakfast and staff was also nice.

Not their fault, in hurricane season maybe the beach is unusable if it was just hit by one, this was our case. We stayed just one night while traveling through so the pool was just enough.

Entire hotel was clean . There was someone walking around checking on a regular basis. We had great parking right by the side door. Front desk staff was helpful And friendly. Breakfast was good. We found out through a flyer in the room about a trolley to take us to the beach.. I asked about it at the front desk and was given the schedule. Instead of battling traffic and paying $20 to park we were able to take the trolley for under a dollar for 2 . Great location off the beaten path. Our room was very comfortable. We spent the afternoon in our room hanging out because it was so hot at the beach. Then we relaxed at the pool. All in all it was a good trip.

I didn't like it when It was time to go home

the hot breakfast was extremely well prepared. The layout was eye catching. the coffee was great with a variety in seating. we were very warmly greeted went we arrived. He explained about the free breakfast trolley to the beach and store for goodies. There is an exercise room and a computer to catch-up. our room was clean, and the beds were comfy with soft pillows (4) that were molded huggable delights.

nothing except we wanted to stay longer and maybe another entrance to the pool besides thru the breakfast area

Great location, staff was great. We are going to make this our go to hotel. Sanitized.

I didn't like our breakfast bags. Most of the days they were out of breakfast anyway. Very upsetting considering its part of the reason you pay more. Out of the week we stayed there we only got a decent breakfast that included a little mini muffin, apple, milk and cereal. That was only 2 days. The other 5 days we only got an apple and a small cereal. That does not include milk, so dry cereal. We were upset about that.

We had a suite overlooking the pool and the beautiful, tropical landscaping. The suite had everything we could possibly need. The included breakfast was hot and delicious.....especially the Southwestern omelettes. The staff was amazing and so friendly! Convenient to all the beaches. We will definitely stay here again.

The staff were super nice. The pool was enjoyable and extremely relaxing... until the weekend came when it was over crowded. The room was spotless, and roomy and quiet... bed was excellent. Location was perfect to visit sanibel/Captiva, ft. Myers Beach and the downtown edison/Ford estate.

There was not enough staff on board...one person at the front desk during busy hours is unfair to the poor staff member and the guests waiting in line. The staff member was very kind and helpful but clearly had too much to do with no backup. The laundry facilities are broken...ate all my quarters w no wash... but the front desk was overwhelmed w people so I let it go... I still think Hilton needs to modify their pet fee policy. Even for 2 nights 75$ is a lot for a 12 lb. Dog.

Breakfast area was super crowded because of several soccer teams staying in there and the kitchen staff was hardly able to keep up with demand. Felt bad for them but they were not very nice to the rest of us that were not part of such disorderly group.

The location was perfect. 20 minute ride to sanibel island beaches. 8 minute ride from ft meyers beach. Located right next to a couple local diners and a Walmart for groceries. Suite was roomy and well set up for my family of 4. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly.

Breakfast was kinda crappy, maybe due to covid. Idk. Bagged bagels and croissants but you had to be there by 6:45 or they were running out. Pool did not feel heated, which was the main reason for my decision to book this location in December.

The staff was awesome everybody was polite that the facilities were very clean there was no hot breakfast but they had very good quality of products to choose from from a cold side of breakfast because of the virus but they did very well with what they had to work with in order to keep everybody safe

The only complaint that we had was that everyday on the standard Wi-Fi that you would have to reset everything go back in redo everything that you had put in in order to keep the standard Wi-Fi.
