Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Ft Myers Beach-Sanibel Gateway, an IHG Hotel

Very clean; quite stylish; very quiet; lots of light; very friendly staff; good room lay out; no problem with the key cards, they unlocked the outside doors too; staircases were easy to find (so we don't use the elevators); enough tables to eat breakfast (but I do not think the hotel was full).

A bit stingy with the towels: even though the room was set up for 5 people, they kept giving only 2 sets. They did provide extras when we asked, but we had to ask every day. The room's window is unopenable, and the air was stuffy in spite of the A/C. And the hotel is guilty of greenwashing: yes, they did away with the amenities and tiny bottles, but the A/C in the common areas was unpleasantly cold, they changed the towels every day (nice, yes, but quite wasteful of water) and there was lots of disposable plastic items used for breakfast.

Breakfast was great and the location is perfect and easy to get to and from the beach.

I didn’t like the seat in the shower (handicapped). I wasn’t able to move it out of my way because I didn’t need it and at one point banged my shin on it.

Noah who worked the front desk was exceptional at representing your company by always being friendly & courteous & more than willing to go that extra mile to satisfy the customer. I would take Noah on my team any day. As far as the facility it was exceptionally clean & well kept. The breakfast was surprisingly fresh & numerous options from fresh fruit to eggs & bacon or sausage gravy & even fresh juice & yogurts etc. you get the picture. The breakfast lady during the week was a delight to everyone & very vibrant & helpful to all the guest for breakfast & she keeps everything stocked & fresh with a great attitude!

I loved the staff! Very friendly and welcoming, from check in to the lady making breakfast to the maintenance staff and housekeepers. The entire property was so clean and the pool was fantastic! The woman that checked us in gave great recommendations for where to eat and visit during our stay and welcomed us back my name when we returned. The room was very comfortable and spacious. When I needed more towels, I had them immediately. Security was very attentive to the younger crowd hanging at the pool after hours. I will definitely be back to stay again.

Breakfast was great. Location is very close to a lot of stores.

Although the room was clean we found 2 pillows with bloodstain on them. We simply out them aside and didn't bother calling front desk as they were more than enough pillows. But it just makes your a little uncomfortable that it was missed at cleaning

The staff went above and beyond. Our reservation was ‘stuck’ and didn’t come through to the hotel. Rose worked hard and figured it out and ask us to cancel the Booking reservation as it didn’t come through which I did via a cancellation message before 4:00pm. Luckily they had a room and even upgraded it since we were inconvenienced! Excellent service.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location was convenient for all the places we wanted to visit. The pool was 84 degrees controlled and wonderful. Found that the building blocked the cool wind but enjoyed the sun .

The toilet paper, emphasizing “paper”. One ply & not delicate. My only complaint. Too nice a place to stay to skimp on toilet paper. The quote I received from booking.com was lower than what I was charged. Talked to Holiday INN & they said to contact Booking.com. Not sure where I go from there. Would stay there again in the my future trips to Ft. Myers.

Friendly staff at the front desk. The room was very clean and the king size bed extremely comfortable. our favorite part was the shower; that was an incredible shower-head, perfect pressure! We even looked into buying one for our home.

We didn’t make it to breakfast so we can’t really say. Not much I could complain about here as far as what I’d expect from a Holiday Inn Express.

The room was newly remolded. Fresh clean spacious The breakfast was excellent. The attendant did well in keeping food available and clean.

We missed breakfast on Sat morning because they don’t start serving til 7 am on the weekend. We were disappointed. We also felt the the cost of the room was too high, over $ 300/ night. When extra things like pool were not available . And beaches were not open!

Very clean. Location was excellent for our trip objectives (Fort Myers beach, Sanibel Island, Naples). What was super excellent was the staff. Very very pleasant and helpful with restaurant suggestions. Leetran trolly right next to hotel. The trolley provided excellent and quick access to Fort Myers beach.

To be fair, my wife had no issues. The following comment would NOT prevent us from staying again at this hotel. I had a slight issue with the bed. What covered our bodies was a sheet and a type of comforter. The comforter was too heavy for me and it impacted my sleep. So I had to sleep with only a sheet and got cold. This issue resulted in me having to raise and lower the room temperature. I
