Tuckaway Shores Resort

Room was perfect right on the beach with a balcony over looking the sea and perfect sized kitchen for when we wanted to cook, all the staff where extremely friendly could not do enough for us made us feel very welcome. The hotel provided chairs and beach umbrella's at no cost this was fantastic even though we where on the beach there was still a pool at the hotel that was super clean and well maintained, there are shops and restaurants 5 mins down the road, could not say enough nice things about our stay here will definitely be back to stay again.

This is a darling "boutique" like hotel right on the ocean. Strongly suggest the option of ocean front room on the second floor. Fantastic views of the ocean, waves and people watching. Enjoy a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise or a glass of wine and watch the changing skies at sunset! You can't beat it for proximity to the water and close enough to town for shopping and restaurants. Very clean and the rooms are nicely accommodating. Kitchen had all of the needed items and they were in good condition. Bed is very comfortable and love the amenities of shampoo, conditioner, lotion and soaps.

This is the third time we've stayed here and the first time we notice that that our room was a bit run down. One of the drawers in the built-ins in the bedroom was broken. Not a huge deal and we will easily stay here again!

We loved everything about our stay at Tuckaway Shores Resort! From the friendliness of the staff to our extremely clean and comfortable room, we couldn’t have been more satisfied with our stay. The view from our balcony was absolutely breathtaking, making our whole experience beyond perfect. We will definitely be staying here again and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful spot to enjoy a beautiful and relaxing getaway.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

1st floor king bed room was perfect for us seniors with a suburb view of the ocean waves, sunrises, and moon rises if your lucky enough to be there during that full moon phase. You have the best of both worlds by being on the beach or enjoying the late afternoon by the heated pool. The place was so clean, with manicured garden and cookout area with a cabana room for family gatherings.

I loved that this property was close enough to the local eateries and a grocery store but also felt like it was perfectly secluded. It was absolutely beautiful to wake up to the beach front each morning as well! Even with properties above and below me I was not disturbed by the kids also enjoying their family vacations. Loved that too!

The AC couldn’t be lowered any lower than 72 degrees or the unit would freeze. Definitely at night would have appreciated it to be a little cooler when sleeping. Also, the water temperature was always cold in the shower.

Can’t find anything that wasn’t to our satisfaction. It was very clean, comfortably small and quaint with all that was needed, it lacked nothing! The kitchen was sufficient, the shower water pressure excellent, the bed was comfortable, two new televisions, the view was spectacular, towels and beach chairs were provided, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The only improvement would be on their wi-fi, because cellular service was poor (I have AT&T) having a good wifi connection would have been a plus- on the other hand it kept us from work during our vacation! This will be our beach to go place from now on!

Not having a strong wifi wasn’t really a deal breaker - we will come back over and over again!

The beachfront location was perfect. We had a "partial ocean view" but it was actually a pretty good view of the ocean, and because it was protected from the wind we were able to sit outside and watch the waves even when raining. They had beach chairs, beach towels, and sand toys available so we didn't have to worry about packing any of those things. The pool was a great temperature and a nice break from the sand at the beach. The staff was all very friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and quiet. In the early morning we were able to see turtle tracks in the sand from the night before.

The beds/pillows could probably use an upgrade, as they weren't super comfortable, but it wouldn't stop me from staying there again in the future.

Location was great. Not being overcrowded was also a plus. Liked that they supplied beach chairs and umbrellas.

Office closing at 9 and phone having no info to call when a problem after office hours. Our air conditioning stopped working the last night we were there. We woke up to 80 degrees but had no idea what to do until morning when office opened. Then when we told them we felt like we got scolded for not telling them sooner. It was obvious they were more worried about having the air working for the next checkin. No apologies to us for a rough night with no air.

if you want a really low key, no frills quiet vacation, this is the place! fabulous to chill out for a few days looking at the sea, no noise, not much to do but read, walk and relax in a beautiful setting As others have written try to get a room on 1st or 2nd floor, note that this time of year the sun doesn't stay too long on the sea facing rooms, so can get cold sitting on your porch

2nd stay here in 3 years. Enjoyed the proximity to relatives and on the beach !

Enjoyed location. Good for a couple. Bed wasn’t comfortable for the 3rd/4th person on the couch bed hideaway. It squeaks and was not comfortable. Should do something better for more than 2 people on the units that say they sleep more than 2.
