The elevators kept breaking, got stuck in the elevator, one morning for 20 minutes. The hotel is mainly a Hasidic Jewish hotel. I felt a little uncomfortable being undressed with a bikini on the beach while the orthodox women were fully clothed going in the water no discrimination against them. I just felt like they were looking at us, like we were the minority.

The location is perfect, right on beach and walking distance to great restaurants, CVS, and a grocery store. A calmer scene than that of South Beach which is ideal for a relaxing trip. Amazing adults only pool on the roof with spectacular views and hot tubs. The room was recently updated with large with a sitting area and TV, 2 desks, 2 bathrooms, and amazing balcony. WiFi works great. It seems they are operating with less staff than usual given Covid which meant that it was very hard to get service, but when we did it was great.

The front desk does not answer the phone. If you want something you have to go down and ask for it in person, and they put your request on a list of requests. There is weekday construction going on next door (the building to the north of the hotel) that is quite loud. So, if your room faces the north side or north ocean facing corner of the hotel the sound is pretty annoying if you use your room or balcony during the day. You can also hear the construction throughout the week while at the first floor restaurant. The gym is nice, although not everyone wears a mask while working out and there's no one there to make sure you are. The gym does not have lighter weights (2lb - 12lb) which was disappointing.

It’s a beautiful place Could be kept a lot cleaner and alwys at least one of not 2 elevators not working. And finally but very imp. So hard to procure a chair at the pool. Ppl should not be allowed to put their stuff there and leave for hours

The pool - people would Come very early in morning and secure chairs. For themselves and friends. And not use them for many hours. There should be a half hour timing on it. If they don’t come in half hour they lose the chair. And I’m talking about 930 am.

Celebrated my Birthday weekend with my daughter at the Grand Beach Hotel Surfside. It was my third visit and once again it lived up to the elegant, classy stay I had previously experienced. The staff was friendly and helpful from the bar, restaurant, gift shop, to the fantastic workout we enjoyed with the fitness trainer, Michael. We received excellent recommendations for bars and restaurants for our downtown Miami night out. The Food and Beverage Director greeted us during our last breakfast before our departure, thanking us for our stay. A wonderful experience all around. Definitely will be back.

Beautiful resort. Great location. Two bathrooms in the hotel room was great.

The private beach was great but it was extremely crowded. The guy giving chairs didn't give a choice where to sit and tries to place your chairs in middle of crowded areas far from the water. I think there is room for improvement in this area. I also didn't find the guy giving the towels to be very gracious and hated the "towel card" system. Felt like I was in high school or camp and not at a four star hotel.

The staff are amazing The valet service is outstanding .

Great location and area of the hotel, with welcoming, friendly and attentive staff members. Hotel offered water and sunscreen at the pool, near the beach and lobby areas. The gym was well equipped and maintained, and also had water available to guests. In addition, yoga class was offered every morning with very experienced instructors, which I attended each morning during my stay, and it enhanced my experience. Hotel is located in residential area of Miami which is quieter and calmer. There is a large variety of kosher restaurants, just 5 min away by walking from the hotel, which made it easier and more enjoyable. Moreover, spa and massage services were available as well.

Location is sensational, very friendly staff, coffee shop and bakery in the hotel, good service around the pool including water toys for kids, direct beach access, excellent SPA treatments, many nice restaurants nearby, no south beach buzz

Noisy A/C when sitting on the balcony (poolside), some furniture required fixing, no breakfast buffet (but very delicious offerings to order by menu)

The location is absolutely incredible!!! Beautiful views of the ocean from our room and the roof top pool was amazing. I loved the walkway to the beach with all the chairs and the private beach area right on the property was great! It's walking distance from very good restaurants and shops.. The staff were awesome and very accommodating.

The only reason I didn't give this hotel a perfect rating was because of the restaurant. We waited an hour and a half for our food and it was not busy. I asked for extra dressing and it didn't come until after we paid out check... I also wish the website or concierge told us about the limited beach chairs at 30% capacity so it is first come first serve despite paying the resort fee....

I've got to say that I think this was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at the whole experience was exceptional. The staff were super helpful & friendly . Everything was spotlessly clean and our room was lovely and spacious . The beds are super comfy too !! We had a sunset room but I would definitely choose an ocean view the next time. The roof pool area & bar were fabulous, plenty of sun loungers and areas to chill & relax. Great access to the beach too. We also booked massages at the Spa and I would highly recommend giving that a visit Its a 5 minute walk to Bal Habour Shops which is full of the most fabulous shops & restaurants. . We are definitely going back to stay here again.
