Drury Inn & Suites Orlando near Universal Orlando Resort

What an experience. Free breakfast, free dinner, free drinks, no resort fee, exceptional service from the whole staff, room service daily, I loved this hotel so much.

My room had 2 alarm clocks in it. My first night there, an alarm went off at 6:00AM. It wasn't the one next to my bed. I spent a few minutes angry thinking "Why would this person set an alarm then ignore it blaring all morning?" I thought more, and realized that it sounded like it was coming from right across the hall. I remembered that I was in a suite with 2 rooms, and that the sound was likely coming from my front room, which it was. I then had to turn off the alarm and realized I was the idiot waking everyone around me up. Also, getting in and out of the hotel parking lot was a chore. Soooo busy in the morning and afternoon. Lots of speeding out of the lot and many U-turns.

Good location, 10mins walk from international drive, 7-11 outside and supermarket across the road. The buffet breakfast sets you up for the day and the staff to a man and woman were lovely. 3 free buses per day to Universal studios. Free food/soft drinks/ 3 alcoholic ones for adults/ popcorn early evening was welcome after long day at parks. I'd stay here again and would recommend it to anybody especially families, the pool is decent size of you're having a lazy day and was regularly cleaned. Stayed in a suite with sofa bed and two double beds, lots of room to store cases, fridge, microwave. Free parking if you hire a car, we never and got Uber/Lyft everywhere.

Stayed for 11 nights, requested daily towel change that wasn't done on two days, which was obviously an oversight we got over. Turkey lake road could have a noisy engine or two during the night if you're a light sleeper. Would have preferred just a kettle in the room to make tea as opposed to coffee maker.

Excellent value for money. Friendly and helpful staff. We never used the Universal booking desk but they were always happy to give advice and book the free bus service for us. Nice pool area with a hot tub. Towels always available. Small gym next to the pool. Free breakfast was a bit repetitive but it's free! Mix of cereals/cooked etc. In the evening if you are there, adults get 3 free alcoholic drinks - wine/beer etc up to 7pm. At the same time, a free buffet is available. Easily enough for a full dinner. Lots of good restaurants in the area. Free parking.

Traffic around the area can be bad, but that's not the hotel's fault! No free Disney bus, but there is one to Universal. Uber to Disney parks about $20 (Apr 23).

Staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast has variety of things to choose which is the best hotel breakfast I have ever had. Happy hour between 5:30-7 PM provides free food for dinner which surprised me as the food has so many choices. The pop drink and hot water are available to us until late night. The location is great, very close to Universal. fast food and restaurants as well as car rental. Free shuttle bus to universal really helps! Even if you don’t take shuttle, taking taxi and Uber doesn’t cost much.

The property was close to all the main attractions. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. The beds were comfortable (which is a great benefit when staying for several days). It was really nice to see the property had a happy hour which was more than just drinks; they offered light snacks such a baked potato and hot dogs. This was a nice surprise, especially when you are paying over $100 per meal when dining out with your family.

I have stayed at this property before and the feedback remains the same; there is not a lot of healthy options. The eggs were cooked in so much butter it was pooling at the bottom of the serving dish. It would have been nice to see an egg white option or turkey sausage of some kind.

Breakfast, dinner and drinks were provided daily. Eating areas have plenty of seating available. Pool, Jacuzzi and outdoor areas were always kept clean. Staff was extremely friendly daily. Rooms are good size and well-kept. Beds and pillows were extremely comfortable.

There wasn’t anything that I dislike about the hotel itself. The outside agency that works under Disney for ticketing and shuttle buses was not available most of the time and when they were there, they were not helpful at all 😣

Arrived early and found there was an issue with the amended booking and only one of two nights was showing up. Christian was amazing, he calmly and helpfully refit the whole booking ensuring it was priced exactly as the original booking although they were incredibly busy, and to top it all off gave us an early check in with no charge - Drury never disappoints but on this occasion it was spectacular, the kick back and breakfast were the best we’ve experienced at all the Drury inns we have stayed at. What a wonderful stay- thank you !

The breakfast options could do with a bit more variety; the waffles were good but more toppings than syrup would be lovely! Disposable cups used all over again - is this a US thing? so wasteful and no recycling bins to be found at breakfast or in the lobby :(

Loved the full hot breakfast, dinner, popcorn, soda machine and an option for a short menu of alcoholic drinks with a bartender. The room was very quiet, large and the bed and pillows were as good as I have at home. The shower in the king room was very large with great hot water pressure, and the shampoo and soap smelled amazing! Housekeeping service is offered daily at your request. My sons elected not to have it. Coming from Universal or Epcot every afternoon, it was super convenient not to have to leave the hotel to go eat. Universal also provides shuttle transportation to the park. I also got a FL residents discount for the nights we stayed, so it was very affordable. Especially with the extra perks they provide. Service there is top notch.

The only downside, was a very crowded hot tub and pool for 2 nights. Volleyball teams had checked in, and took over the area.
