Sands Harbor Resort and Marina

We stayed for the 4th of July. The reception was friendly and professional. They greeted us with champagne and a warm welcome. The room was clean and bright. It was a large space with a big separate bathroom/shower area, a small kitchennete with a small fridge, microwave and ample counter and cabinet space. We had a large balcony - well-equipped with 2 chairs and a table. It had a lovely view of the ocean. The opposite side of the hotel faced the intercoastal which was equally beautiful. There was a lovely bar and restaurant on site and the food was delicious. In the am, we enjoyed complimentary coffee which was rich and delicious. Fresh pastries, fruit and yogurt were also provided.

There was a lovely swimming pool but we didn't use it. There were 2 families with small children and babies occupying it. They didn't have the good sense to don waterproof swim diapers on the babies. They were wading in the pool in regular disposable diapers. That's not the hotel's fault, but perhaps they should consider posting a sign and enforce proper hygiene for children. We also traveled with a toddler but had him properly suited.

The location was amazing, I could walk to the beach, the marina was beautiful. The staff was amazing. The fact that I got a complimentary upgrade was great, the view from my balcony was great. Everyone at the property was so nice and accommodating. I will definitely have another stay.

We LOVE the ambience of this hotel. It's not so much aimed at luxury (although the beds were first class comfortable) as it is the atmosphere of a traditional older Florida hotel, and instead of being a cookie-cutter oceanfront box it is situated on the Intracoastal Waterway with a waterfront pool, restaurant, and bar adjacent to their marina. We loved watching the parade of boats passing by and especially enjoyed having boats pull up at the outdoor restaurant which spans most of the length of the hotel's wharf, with the dock master on hand to tie them up so the resident sailors and cruisers could enjoy a meal alongside the hotel patrons. Attentive and friendly staff too. We'll be back!

The location and scenery are very good, but the door lock makes us have a headache, we often can't open the door, and we want to improve it.

The resort is beautiful right on the marina. It was great to watch the boats come in and out of the coastal area. The food at the bar restaurant was delicious. The staff was excellent.

The inside of the hotel itself needs upgrading. The doors, elevators, bathrooms. The outside is beautiful in the back. The front needs some work.

The room view was MIND BLOWING. The convenience of everything located within the radius of the Resort. The Staff service was warm and greeting( makes you want to return). MOST of all, the price for a Resort stay was excellent. I look forward to my next visit to Florida.

Sometimes my room key would require more than one swipe to open the door.

The room was awesome..... got to enjoy the sunset on the balcony. The staff was friendly and the housekeeping services was awesome as well.

The sink in my bathroom kept clogging up but other than that a great stay.

Check out is at 11. By 11:13 3 ppl had knocked on the door. They were very pushy. We were going to stay at the pool after check out and order lunch but that made me just want to leave.

Whoever is in charge of hiring staff needs a promotion. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. They never seemed stressed or irritated. I felt like I was the only guest they had to help. What the buildings age lacked, the staff made up for it doubly.

I didn't like that there was parking costs. I would have been ok with that had I been told prior to check out. I think I should have been made aware of the charges at check-in.

This is my go to place for my staycations. As always the staff and services were always welcomed with a smile. I never had an issue or problem with my rooms. Love the restaurants, pool and the vibes
