The Flagler Inn - Saint Augustine

The room was very large and clean. We liked that the floor was laminate and not carpeted. AC worked great. We were in St. Augustine for a sporting event and we had plenty of room for our luggage and gear. The pictures on the web site for the King Room w/sofa and common areas are accurate. The shower was large with good water pressure. There was a fitness room with free weights and a few cardio machines but we did not use. The location was only a short drive (5 to 20 minutes) to any place (Historic District, Marina, Beaches) we wanted to visit by car. The included Breakfast is the basics; Coffee (most important!), mixed hot tea varieties, cereal/milk, yogurt, ham/sausage, boiled eggs, biscuits, sausage gravy, mini waffles, toast/bagels and a make your own pancake machine. The menu did not vary during our visit.

The Inn is located at the corner of a very busy intersection and some rooms faced the road. We requested a room on the side that faces the side street and the front desk person was most accommodating. Due to COVID protocols, there is no more "during visit" maid services so you have to watch your toilet paper and tissue supplies to request additional from the desk before you run out.

We have stayed her 3 times in the last 8 months.

In room 301 the windows could use curtains to block the lights for the parking lot.

Very friendly staff, taking time to give some insights in the tourist highlights of the city. Nice, clean and spacious motel room with clean bathroom. Decent breakfast.

Car parking is limited during dinner time because of the neighboring restaurant, however at night ample space available. Walking distance towards the city center is very far so car reliant and parking fees in Saint Augustine can be hefty for locations with Parking availability.

I have stayed here multiple times. It is a great place to stay near the college when visiting my daughter. It is clean and and a great location for my needs.

Room very big with well designed bathroom including walk in shower . Hot water came through quickly. Twin queen beds were comfy and we both slept well. Check in efficient and welcoming and front desk helped out when my key would not operate door to laundry room. Excellent value at $2 for wash and same for dry can get detergent at reception. Nice pool area at rear of property with seating. Good size car park meant we could park right by our room . Good Mexican restaurant next door and CVS and Walgreens just accross Road. Somewhat surprised only officially rated 2 star as better than several 3 stars been in.

Had to drive into St. Augustine centre for entertainment e.g. music bars as nothing in walking distance. Room not serviced as not told at check in had to request daily.

The location was wonderful, in a nice area of St. Agustine. The staff was great, very friendly and professional. We loved the fact that this amazing restaurant was right beside the hotel called Taco Libre. Great food!!! The breakfast was better than expected. They had scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage (both regular and turkey). Plus they even had biscuits and gravy! Very nice place to stay, especially for the price.

They were experiencing some issues with their internet and cable tv. Due to a bad thunderstorm that struck a pole near the facility. It took the cable company several days to rectify the situation, but they gave us an additional discount for the inconvenience, which was very nice. The room was clean, but we did find a couiple of hairs in the tub and sink. Other than that great place to stay!

The property itself is under construction or something because there are multiple construction dumpsters on the property. The room was nice - not perfect - not amazing but also not bad because you can see where they cut corners or didn’t do the work correctly but it was comfy and has what you need. The area is odd to me — there is a restaurant in the same parking area which is nice but the area around is a weird mixed of old and eclectic—there are old shacks and closed businesses and then you see some nice things if you drive a little further. I would give this place another try for the value and comfy bed. I came alone for a concert at the St Augustine Amphitheater and this was a good value and about a 15 min drive to the venue. I would stay again.

Parking for the second half of the property can get challenging since it’s shared with the restaurant-you might have to park at the other bldg and walk across. There is construction going on and looking at dumpsters isn’t so nice

Pet friendly! We had a wonderful time with our two dogs. Couldn’t hear neighbors, we were placed right by the pool. We loved that the pool was salt water. The location is what really got us. You are in north st. Augustine and it is incredibly convenient to get anywhere. And the prices were EXCELLENT.

Literally nothing besides they should give more pillows. We had four tiny pillows for a king size bed and had to end up buying some to avoid having sore necks.

It was a nice place and was pretty good for the money. We liked having the restaurant in the parking lot, just walking from our room to supper. Really close to anything in St. Augustine, pool, and spacious updated room.

The gym was not opened in the morning. The manager was very upset when I was filling up a water bottle for my kids; he mistook that I was getting extra orange juice. He apologized, but his initial approach was inhospitable. I felt like a child being chastised; he told me there were signs everywhere not to add more juice. I told him I was filling up for my toddler's water. Everything else was fine.

The room was bigger then expected and I loved there was no carpet. the room was very clean. A plus was you can walk across the parking lot to the Mexican restaurant. that was very convenient. We also walked across the road to CVS. everything really is within walking distance. we loved the property.

the wifi was not secured and I asked the girl at the front desk and she was no help and said it was because I had an iPhone. the employee that was there when we checked in was super nice but the other girl always acted like I was bothering her. she said there was no shuttle to the beach and there was and the hotel had the paperwork that I found myself. the one employee that was not friendly should not be at the front desk. she needs customer service training. she also needs to stay off her phone when people are at the window to ask questions. one bad apple can spoil your entire experience. you need more employees like the one who checked us in. she was very helpful and pleasant.
