Days Inn by Wyndham St Augustine/Historic Downtown

I've lost count of how many reviews I've done of this place over the years. Bottom line, first stayed here for Daytona Bike Week 1996, I come down at least twice a year for the two major re-enactments (Searle's Raid in March, Drake's Raid in May) and periodically either Bike Week or Biketoberfest. I always stay here because the prices are reasonable, the rooms are good, clean, and kept up with a refurbished as necessary. Yeah, I'll be back in May. And March 2024.

If I've had a complaint about the place it's been years ago and long forgotten. The Denny's located off the swimming pool is chronically understaffed so you may want to avoid it during the rush periods, but the food is decent. The hotel staff do a good job and are accommodating.

We really liked the staff, they were wonderful. Traveled with daughter, great granddaughter who turned 12 yrs old and my granddaughter. Unfortunately I could not share a room with my granddaughter, so the staff so kindly found another room next to my daughter. I was so happy. We loved the hotel that it was near the sites. They also helped me book several tours. Thanks again for a very lovely time with my family God Bless Lee Triguero

The only this better would have been central air, instead of window units, because of the intense heat wave we have been having.

The room is very clean. The location is very close to the Historic old town than you can walk and enjoy the houses, the historic building and very good restaurant. The beds are clean and comfortable.

The room don't have microwave. I use milk for my coffee and I need to heat the milk. Some time I drink tea in the nights, so I need to heat the water.

Overall the hotel was clean and well maintained. Normally there is no refrigerator or microwave in the room, but they can provide one if you request it and we did manage to get them in our room. We really appreciated the fact that we were within walking distance to the historic downtown, restaurants and attractions.

The floors in the room were really dirty. The 2 key room cards we received were not working well at all.

That it was close to historic downtown and other shopping.

Staff didn't seem personable. Being an older hotel, a lot of remodeling needs to be done to look better. Beds not real comfy, sloppy paint job on inside of room. I would rate the room a 5 out of 10.

I've been staying there regularly, 2-4 times a year, since 1996 (other than the last two years due to COVID). It has never disappointed me, to the point that I no longer look into staying anywhere else. One interesting discovery this year: For the first time ever, I was on a second floor room. While I've no complaints regarding first floor room, I noticed that the upstairs room were a bit less worn. Keep in mind if this is an important point to you.

No complaints whatsoever.

This Hotel was very convenient for my husband and I ….. the front desk manager called a Shuttle Bus to pick us at the Hotel and take us to our destination across the street🥳👍 Now, we couldn’t cross the Road because it was so busy with heavy traffic 😯 That was so kind and we were very grateful for the help.

The drawback to staying at The Days Inn by Wyndham was the Noise of the Window Air conditioner😏 Also the interior would be Freezing cold or too warm. Couldn’t get the flow of air to close even a little….it was up or down only. Not very comfortable or convenient….ended up putting the sitting chair “in front” of the air flow to get more comfortable in our room🥺

Location was ideal. Everything was in close proximity. Wasn't hard to navigate to and from most things. Had a Denny's attached so that was a plus. Well lit parking lot. Not noisy. Was able to get good sleep. Beds extremely comfortable.Comfortable beds and pillows.

Staff was rude. weird guy in parking lot all day and night. Kinda sketchy at night. Not ideal for women/family in that aspect. Was a little difficult to get into main road in that area. Ac didn't work too well. No laundry option.

It was clean and comfortable. After a day of walking it was a clean place to rest your head.

For Wyndham I thought it would be nicer. Bathrooms are updated but still old and you didn't have to look hard at the paint job. Sinks are old too. If the Denny's that is located there is part of Wyndham it was terrible. We went there first and it smelled bad. Food was cold.

I like that the hotel was not too far from some of the attractions. It would of been better if it was closer to the center of town then I could walk everywhere instead of having to drive.

I rented my room for three nights and only had my room cleaned the first night. The bathroom door did not close all the way and the bathroom didn’t have a trash can.
