Casey Key Resort - Gulf Shores

I did mostly smiling faces & not the one on the farthest right because that seemed like a laughing emotion. I was very happy with the room & the facility. I've stayed at 3 other places on Casey Key, some of them numerous times, & this one is my favorite. It is quiet and clean. The only non-smiling emojis were the value (not cheap yet I also booked on a holiday weekend). However, I'm happy to pay extra for peace & quiet. Not many people were there. The other was for the room lighting. Most people would love the brightness in the room but darkening shades would have been nice for afternoon naps. I'm an early bird so the light didn't affect me in the mornings. I will book again!

Having access to both the beach and the bay side . Also was close to good eating restaurants and activities like fishing , shelling , walking or biking and overall exposure to the area . I even drove down to the Venice pier which was not far and easily accessible from this location . As a local Floridian I will definitely be making this a weekend get away place for my family .

This sounds so minor I don’t even really want to mention it . However if your asking about improvement. I stayed in room 15 and noticed there are no towel holders for your towels after showering . A simple 20 dollar item would have avoided me saying this . Wet bathing suits also usually get placed on a towel holder . Like I said small and minor detail .

inter coastal access for a kayak was amazing, we were able to tie up our kayak in a slip behind our room.. and literally a football field away, across the street, was the GOM as beautiful as any tropical island 🏝

Though there have definitely been updates over the years and it is clean.. it’s a tad tired ish.. the bathrooms toilet needed alittle extra care to flush it..being the most dated room in the efficiency.. little stains on curtains bent metal blinds in the front door that stuck to open it.. Honestly those things are absolutely livable just alittle less than a 10 in that regard.. more like an 8…

Loved the location!

Not being able to park and use the beach prior to check in time, when I could see there was plenty of parking available. A lot of rules to worry about, so extra charges wouldn't be added.

The place was very layed back. We did very much enjoy our stay.

We only had a slight issue with an ac but customer service switched our rooms pretty quickly so it was no a big deal. Last thing is I was a hundred percent certain I rented the fisherman getaway the one on the bay and it must have been booked on the website because when we showed up it was definately not that room. We did not say anything because there was no point there was someone already in there.

This is an bungalow style hotel with kitchens in the rooms. The property has been nicely updated, and the location is wonderful. We were on a road trip, and I booked this hotel for a one night stay. We loved the beach and the hotel, so we stayed a second night. This area is great- no high rise buildings, and quiet. We will definitely return for a longer stay!

I usually prefer a beachfront balcony, but there is a lovely tiki type area to sit in the water.

The Location was Excellent. We loved being so close to the beach, and the intercoastal was a bonus. Also loved relaxing under the tiki hut by the ocean at night.

Early morning construction right outside our window, next door. That was a very minor inconvenience, and know that that won't be there forever. Nighttime sound was very quiet. A pool would be nice, but not a big deal....

It was our 18 years wedding anniversary. The room was small updated and cozy, Full kitchen except stove, had microwave instead. The Restaurants in short distance. The food was amazingly superb. Fishing in the inlet right at your back door. Beach across the street. Everyone is friendly. Amazing staff. Will return again. Great place to relax and enjoy the waters. I will be back😊

The fish biting was slow. I learned that there was a red tide some time last year and fishing is slowly picking up

The location was perfect. We were on the Bayside and the beach was just a quick walk across the street so we really had the best of both worlds. We stayed in the boat house. Perfect little place for 2. it had everything that an  efficiency should. The window surrounding it, allow us to have full view of the water.

Nice beach access with a stunning tiki building. Casey Key is stunningly beautiful, although overcrowded. We enjoyed outside area in the back of unit.

Unit was smaller than expected, and right on the street. Parking was problematic, with space in front of our unit unusable. We enjoy walking the beach, but Casey Key beachfront is pitched with shells and stones. We missed having a nice pool.
