Motel 6-Venice, FL

With the hurricane approaching SW Florida. I was happy to have a second story room. Room was newly renovated and clean. Bed linens were full of burn holes from smokers, but clean. Doors had sand bags in front of them. Which was good as I could see the door didn't shut tight. But did lock well. All an all it was a great choice. Thank you.

Lots of renovation has been done and some of the rooms are in the process of being renovated. It looks good. I LOVED the shower with grab bars. Loved the pool. It's beautiful. This motel was clean and quiet. I would most likely stay here again.

The only negative thing I can say is that there was not a microwave and fridge in the room. The manager did say that some rooms do have them and as more renovations are done, they will be installed.

Loved this motel!! Staff are amazing! Nice, friendly ,kind and helpful! We stayed in king room.all remodeled, clean, shower was great, bed was comfortable, pillows comfy, room service everyday if you need/want it. Close to great restaurantes and many different beaches! Has coin laundry for beach towels or bathing suit to clean between beach or Peace river canoe days. Pool water crystal clean.No issues with parking on hotel grounds...booking said no parking, not true.plenty of parking. Has area for walking your puppy and dog poo bags onsite. Great motel for your money!!

Cozy older hotel in Venice. Dog friendly which makes it very nice for me. I felt safe here as everything is well lite at night. And your four-legged friends will love you for taking them to the dog park that’s right on the beach famous in Venice Florida.

Dog areas could be more defined. Maybe people would keep it up better if it was. Small white picket fence. Dog poop pickup stick for seniors who can’t bend over to pick poop up.

location was good, easy to get in and out of, nice pool, overall the facilities were good

currently being remodeled so lots noise and activity but they waited until after 8 to start. not much room to move around they put two double beds in a room that likely had o e Queen bed so very tight quarters. we got a good rate overall satisfied and would stay again

The staff were so generous and sweet. We arrived at four in the morning. We were so tired when coming in after working doubles to celebrate our four years of being married. We had to ask for more pillows and Ms. Becky was happy to help us out and give us the information we needed and explain everything that we needed know.

I did not like that i booked a smoking room and it even said it in my reservation that i booked a smoking room and when i arrived the smoking rooms were taken and was told that i never booked a smoking room. The manager did get on to me and my husband for smoking outside the room which was really understandable for smoke not traveling in the room. Staff should have explained where the designated smoking areas are instead of handing out an ashtray and telling me to make sure i smoke outside the room.

Rooms were remodel

There's an oversight with the Gutters. There's a hole that when the rain poured down, if your outside your door at room 221, you will get drenched, & water will come in your room. Have plenty of towels for the soaking.

Very friendly staff and workers. Remodeling being done during our visit . When we checked in we were told the workers would be gone from outside work at 6pm. And at 6 pm all the work noise silenced

We checked in agree 11:00 pm. The lady who assisted us was wonderful. So kind and pleasant. The room was clean and the bed comfortable.

Just a small issue. The room had an overwhelming smell of some sort of cleaning product. By morning I had a headache. But I suppose this is a good complaint.

Not too far from the beach, which was my reason for being there, close to main street, easy to find. Pool was open. Room was clean(only complaint is the roach I saw on the tv counter). The housekeeper, Jen is very friendly and accommodating. The lady at the front desk is helpful and friendly.

I did see a roach(and killed it), crawling on the back of the counter where the tv is.
