Hampton Inn & Suites Venice Bayside South Sarasota

For booking a room last minute, on a Sunday night on Labor Day weekend it was great. We ended up with the last room which was older and needs some TLC. Like the towel rack on the wall in the bathroom was coming out of the wall and the AC was older. But it was very clean, not like old smelly hotel room. Great value especially for a last minute thing at 8 p.m. a night. Paid the $4.95 for the WiFi but it never worked. :(

Paid the additional $4.95 for the WiFi connection and it never worked. We used our mobile data the whole time we were there.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The facility was conveniently located to everything. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. My grandchildren and I enjoyed the pool and liked the jacuzzi.

Our mini-fridge didn't have a freezer section so I had to store our ice packs in a freezer that only the employees had access to, which necessitated my having to ask them to retrieve them on several occassions. This was inconvenient for your employees and for me. But they were very nice about it.

Breakfast was much more than expected. So much to pick from. Never expected so much hot food and delicious.

Beds weren't the most comfortable but ok. The a/c in our room didn't ever reach the temperature we set it to so it felt quite warm the 2 nights we stayed. There also isn't enough seating area for the breakfast for the size of the hotel and amount of people that were there.

Breakfast was hot and flavorful. The breakfast setup was accessible. The breakfast had a satisfying array of food. The coffee was hot and fresh. The breakfast area was clean all utensils and plates were available. I definitely stay there again

This property was extremely clean! Room had fridge, microwave, mini oven, separate sitting area with pullout & TV, room with tv, separate sink area, with another sink in the bathroom/shower, full length mirror, 2 closets & a little kitchen table. They didn’t miss a trick! Also had a heated pool, which we didn’t use as we were only here one night, scouting the area. Super nice staff, desk girl gave me a little map. This is a 3 min skip over the causeway to the island part of Venice. Def would stay here again. Again, VERY clean.

We got corner room which was nice and quiet. Some views. We had great time staying there. Kids love it. Good Breakfast. Nice Pool. We forgot stuffs there not yet back to pick it up yet. :D There was a restaurant near by very delicious. Location seemed to close to many places we plan to go for the day.

When we were there the first night there was a problem with the plumbing. We called and the manager immediately placed on in another room. That was the only blimp.

The breakfast was good and I liked the variety of every morning. The staff were friendly and it was very clean.

The bathroom sink was clogged with hair so the water wouldn't go down.

I really enjoyed the breakfast. It was great. The location was great just around the corner from our room. Will be coming back again.

Didn't like the pillows. They are too soft.
