Courtyard Atlanta Decatur Downtown/Emory

I love my room the beds was cozy and it was just soft and amazing... the staff members are very friendly and greets you all the time that they see you. It was just very relaxing. Theres a pool and a gym inside and its a lot of places like restaurants around that you can just walk yourself into because all of them are a feet away.

it seems quite new so is clean and in good condition throughout with good amenities like the laundry, pool and gym. The room was comfortable and reasonably well proportioned with two good sized beds (three pillows each) along with a big tv, fridge, microwave and coffee machine (unlike many places taking these out currently). The staff were helpful and friendly. It is located only 5 minutes walk from Decatur square so is handy for restaurants in the neighbourhood whilst being a quiet location for traffic.

I’m never one for showers over a bath anyway but unfortunately the bath has an rough surface installed to make it slip proof but in turn makes it uncomfortable as a bath (so why not just install a shower!).

Breakfast was a set menu not a buffet. The choice was limited but good. You have to pay for your breakfast. The hotel initially objected to free breakfast but agreed to it when I showed my booking through Booking.com.

The wi-fi was slow. Should be improved. Housekeeping is every alternate day. The AC/heater was slightly noisy but I guess that's the US system as they don't use hot air blowers rather than radiators.

The location was excellent, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The entire experience was great from checking in to checking out.

The breakfast offered in the mornings is not complementary with your stay, but this was not a huge issue. I misunderstood what I was told at check-in regarding the breakfast, so I was a bit surprised to find that I had to order and pay at a counter rather than going through a buffet-style arrangement.

It’s one block from the Decatur town square with its great selection of eateries. There is a little bistro in the hotel lobby open in morning and evening for light meals and espresso coffee and pastries. The cook was great and serves the guests himself. The hotel staff was always very helpful. The room typical—spacious but not spectacular.

It was very very noisy Saturday night —I wish they would’ve put the party animals on another floor from mine.

My son lost his wallet and the Gentleman who was managing the property was OUTSTANDING with his assistance. I truly feel that the reason I've rated your hotel as high as I have is solely due to him and I am very sad that I can not remember his name now.

Parking was very difficult and awkward. The spots were small, the structure was not easy to enter or leave. NOR was it clear which structure to use.

The room was HUGE! The lobby is spacious. Take out food and drugstores are close by. Public transit is a stones throw away. Everything is cleaned and sanitized. James the guest agent was the best. He made sure I got my rewards points and he even switched me to a room further away from elevator. The TV was controlled by scanning a bar code so you used your phone as a remote control! The Serta bed was phenomenal. Best sleep I've ever had. I heard ZERO noise during my stay. I just cannot emphasize how huge this room was. It was like triple the size of your average hotel room. The room floors were wood laminate which seem more sanitary and easier to clean than carpet. The study desk was almost 6 feet long with a pull out section. The chair was ergonomically designed which provided hours of comfort. The TV must have been 55 inches if not bigger. Not too many channels but the apps were plentiful. Netflix. Prime. Showtime. The shower had nice water pressure. Paul Mitchell tea tree shower products are provided. They were awesome and these new pump dispensers have eliminated the mini bottles of the past. Great environmental effort Marriott!! The lobby had a beatiful minimalistically decorated Chrismas tree. It was so inviting! Bravo Marriott. I love being a Rewards member!

Courteous espectful and beautiful staff

HOUSEKEEPING IS THE ONLY ISSUE. WITH COVID-19, HOUSEKEEPING SHOULD BE STEPPING UP THEIR GAME! I HAD HAIR IN SHOWER ON WALLS IN TUB EVEN IN CEILING. HAIR ON TOLIET SEAT AS WELL. I CALLED AGAIN THis VISIT TO REPORT. ITS TO THE POINT WHERE I HATE TO BOTHER THE NICE STAFF CHECKING ME IN BC ITS NOT THEIR FAULT. BUT DAMN I JUST WANT MY MONEYS WORTH. I PAID EXTRA FOR PARKING TO STAY AT A TOP NOTCH HOTEL AND I EXPECT A CLEAN BATHROOM AND WASHCLOTHES AND TOWELS. I MOVED INTO ANOTHER ROOM. BUT I WILL STILL MAKE AN EFFORT TO BRING MY OWN DISINFECTANT AND CLEAN MYSELF. IVE HAD COVID-19. I DONT WANT IT AGAIN. MY EX HUSBAND JUST DIED FROM COVID-19 COMPLICATIONS THE DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS. SO DONT WANNA TAKE CHANCES WITH MY HEALTH

Beds were comfortable and main lobby was large with plenty of seating.

Parking fees for a garage that is so narrow which makes it difficult to drive without potentially shaping you car let alone the very small parking spaces.

Location, comfort of the hotel room.

I paid for breakfast in my room rate but it was very to get it. Lines too long. Only had coffee.
