Sheraton Kauai Resort Villas

Close to the beach. Beach was super nice and sandy, not rocky. Free activities. Generous with towels.

1. No late check out option. 2. The hotel had chosen condiments for the coffee that were packed as a set of sugar, sweetener, cream, napkins and stir sticks. I brought my own sweetener. To use the sticks I had to open the set, which immediately rendered the rest of the condiments in it unusable. That contributes to the pollution of our planet. 3. It was as luxurious as I thought it would be for more than $500 a night. 4. I wanted to have a massage but I didn’t see a spa in the hotel.

The Sheraton Villas are located across the street from the Sheraton which is actually located on Poipu Beach but you have access to the pool, beach and all facilities . Our room was very nice and overlooked the pool. The room had a full kitchen and washer and dryer which came in very handy. The room was clean and nicely furnished and everything worked as it should. Self parking was in a lot next door or on the street near the hotel which wasn't a big problem. We had dinner at the Lava's restaurant one night and it was fine and also watched the luau from the restaurant / bar a couple of nights. The staff we encountered at the hotel, bar and restaurant were very friendly and helpful. There are also some restaurants and shopping areas located a few minutes drive from the hotel. Overall a nice place to stay in the Poipu area.

I know it's Hawaii but the price was pretty expensive ( $700 / night) but not quite as bad as other hotels in the Poipu area which seems to be the best side of the island to stay for tourists.

The Westin Resort at Princeville was a dream! We found the location excellent as there were so many great things we did while we were on the North Coast of Kauai. My husband and I were able to relax by the pool one afternoon and it was so peaceful; we appreciated the 'quiet" pool and the calm atmosphere. The room was great and having a washer and dryer was super helpful. If you plan to explore what the north coast of Kauai has to offer I would 100% recommend staying here.

The Westin never disappoints! I am pleased we were able to stay here. I will come back again!

On the beach with Lavas restaurant and bar. Lots of loungers facing ocean for guests to use. Villa king room has fully equipped kitchen and a nice Lanai. The room has washer/dryer, electronic safe, large TV with good selections, standing shower, robes, and lots of nice fluffy towels. The beds were comfy and the sheets feel great. Beach towels were free to check out daily and came with sunscreen and free Mai Tai coupons daily. Resort is .5-1 mile walk from restaurants, shopping and convenience stores. They have fire pits all over property that light nightly and there are many gas grills to use outside on the villa side.

The ocean front pool was closed for repairs. The villa side has a garden pool that is nice but there is not a bar on the villa side so you have to go to the resort side for drinks and food. There are no food options on the villa side. It’s not far to walk to the resort side which is the side on the ocean front but would be nice to have a grab-n-go convenience shop also on the villa side.

Check-in process was easy, staff was friendly, parking was easy, and the facilities were all clean. Some reviews mention having to walk across the street from the villas to the main pool, but this is about a two minute walk and was not an issue for us at all. There is a smaller, quieter pool in the villas, but no hot tub. Lava's was great for food and drinks. We had a great time and would stay here again.

The property is quite perfect in every way. Comfortable, spacious rooms. Beautiful grounds, beachfront location with a very nice beach. Lovely oceanfront pool and restaurant with very decent menu options. We really enjoyed our stay and would do it again.

The check in time is 4 pm and we had to wait to get our room even though we arrived early and had requested an early checkin, Also, the checkout time is 10 a.m with no flexibility for a late checkout. We had a late night flight and they would not extend our check out time.

We stayed at the Sheraton for one night because we simply couldn’t stay at our other hotel for one night longer. The Sheraton was everything the other hotel was not - luxury, airy, clean and filled with amenities. We didn’t leave the resort for the 24 hours we were there because it has fantastic access to the beach, a beach bar and a pool. We really liked having a patio to sit and relax on during the evenings. Would have liked to have stayed there longer but it was just so expensive.

The hotel rates are really expensive and I’m not sure it’s a true representation of value.

Hotel rooms and public areas were spotless and nicely designed. Friendly and helpful staff at check in. Room was spacious and modern, and had sufficient (although not as much as other hotels) drawer/wardrobe space for two peoples' clothes. Super helpful having the washer/dryer and really appreciated that they left a couple of laundry detergent sachets. The balcony overlooking one of the swimming pools was lovely - great to be able to sit out and enjoy a drink, and of course handy for drying swim stuff. Very much liked being so close to the 'second' swimming pool. In fact we didn't use the main pool at all because the other one was closer to us and so nice and peaceful. Great size and temperature and the pool/pool area were kept very clean. Frequent sanitising of loungers was appreciated. Location is great - you can walk along the beach (or roads) to various restaurants. Can't fault this hotel, we would definitely stay here again (and believe me we are desperate to visit Kauai again!)

On the one day the concierge had run out of pool towels, I went to the main swimming pool to get some - it's quite annoying that you had to sign the towels out against your room number and then return them prior to departure, otherwise risking a charge applied to your bill. Weirdly I didn't have to sign for them at the concierge desk and this was so much nicer. It seems an unnecessary thing to do that just adds hassle. But this is just one tiny niggle in an otherwise wonderful hotel.

great efficient room with a nice little balcony, comfy bed, newly renovated and clean bathroom and kitchen.

the property is missing some soul. lush green gardens between the hotel buildings, but no color, no flowers, no life. small complaint, but address this and it could feel like a really nice resort

We loved the location, the relaxed vibe, and the staff was wonderful! The pool, hot tub, and beach was nice. Having amenities like a fridge, sink, dishwasher, dishes, kitchen utensils, coffee pot, pans, and washer/dryer was really nice to have!

Wish the rooms were a little larger, but overall happy with the room. It would have been nice to have more things (restaurants, a general store, etc) in walking distance.
