Sophy Hyde Park

The hotel is located in a very convenient area near multiple restaurants and shops. The hotel's restaurant has great food and amazing cocktails. The hotel is located in Hyde Park near vegan, vegetarian, Caribbean, Asian Fusion, and soul food restaurants.

The only compliant I have about the hotel is their lack of an iron. They provide a steamer to use however, it is not as effective as a traditional iron. This minor compliant is based on my own preferences. Everything else about the hotel was wonderful

This hotel was stunning!!! I surprised my husband with a kid free hotel stay. It was perfect, we only saw adults at this hotel. It was quiet, the hotel was so beautiful. Every little detail was thought out. The room was gorgeous and spacious. I would definitely recommend and will be going back to this hotel!

Unfortunately, the restaurant computer system was down at the hotel. So we did not get to have dinner there but the hotel location was conveniently located near a ton of restaurants. We were able to have breakfast at The Messler and it was delicious!

It is very close to Uchicago and that is perfect for parents who are visiting children at the university. The hotel itself is very modern, clean and amenities are all there. Staff is wonderful and always willing to help. I recollect many friendly discussions with Sam at the front gate.

There is so much to love about the Sophy. The rooms were beautiful, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly and the area had a few places within walking distance to explore.

Traveling from out of town, we were surprised to learn that breakfast was not served until 8AM. That’s a bit late if you’re here for work meetings or like to get early starts before heading out for the day. The bathroom was great but the shower glass door is just a wall which can make a huge mess of water on the floor outside, so watch your step.

Location, cleanliness , housekeeping, room was emaculate.

Too pricey. I'll try not to book on or during holidays...period. I will definitely stay at a more reasonably priced one especially since I'm a disabled veteran. Prices weren't shown from your app. Sorry, but not convenient.

Great vibe, super convenient location, loved the room layout and special touches. The onsite restaurant was excellent for every meal! Super fun staff at entrance greeting and beautiful lounge. Highly recommend!

That we weren't in town longer this trip! We've learned to book far in advance as this property sells out for key dates faster than others.

Amenities, spacious bathroom and lighting, decor in room and bathroom; bathrobes, sealed extra blankets, extra glasses, adequate charging areas, room temperature, lovely atmosphere and great restaurant. Additionally, the location was great… walking distance to restaurants, shops and the lake. Tops: staff!

Beautiful hotel. Great location near all kinds of restaurants and handy shops. Very nice, large bathrooms (no tubs, but large showers), corner rooms have good pull-out beds and a nice big table. Rooms have lots of light. Good beds and pillows. Very friendly, helpful staff.

Frustrating that such nice rooms have so little room for storing clothes - just one armoire. No dressers/drawers. HVAC was a real problem for us. Cycled on and off - went from too hot to too cold despite maintenance's best efforts. The whole place needs a bit more maintenance attention (shower rods were rusting). We were not able to access the restaurant for room service and hours didn't seem long enough to us for a restaurant connected to a hotel.

I am expecting a buttle of water in hotel rooms especially for hotels over $300 per night! I had to pay $5 for a buttle at the front desk. The hotel doesn't have a coffee bar, tgey have free coffee at the lobby untill 9am on the second! If you miss the 9 you cant find coffee at the hotel. You have to get dressed and go out. There is coffee in the room but no watter.

I enjoyed the ambience and the beauty of the hotel. It was extremely clean and the room was so comfortable. The artwork was so beautiful and intriguing. I felt so comfortable during my stay and that says alot coming from a person that has high hotel standards and is a germaphobe.
