Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites O'Fallon-Shiloh, an IHG Hotel

We visited O’Fallon for a softball tournament the weekend of September 19th. It was a pleasant surprise to find that the hotel was in a central location. There were plenty of food options both fast food and sit down restaurants. The hotel also sits directly next to a shopping center including a Target and Dierberg grocery store which is convenient for travelers. We were also about 5 minutes from the sports complex and 15-20 minutes from downtown St. Louis. Overall, the hotel is clean and staff is friendly. Our room was clean and pretty spacious with a large bench for our luggage, microwave and mini fridge. The counter space in the bathroom was great because there was plenty of room on both sides for his/hers toiletries. It was also nice to have a hot breakfast with plenty of options. Majority of hotels we have recently stayed only have granola bars and fruit. It was great to have the full options of the complimentary breakfast included with your stay. Plenty of parking was available our entire stay.

We had a little bit of a hard time checking in to the hotel. When we arrived for check-in we were informed our room was not ready. It was close to 4:00pm and check in time is 3:00pm. They told of 20 minutes and our room would be ready. We drove around the area to check out the food options and returned only to be told our room still wasn’t ready-another 20 minutes. We decided to go to the grocery store to get some beverages and snacks for the stay and then returned for the third time-room was “almost” ready. it was close to 5:45pm by the time we were able to finally get our room keys and check in. No, we did not ask for a late check-in time. I will assume that maybe they were understaffed however, no explanation was given for the delay other then the room “isn’t ready”.

The location was very nice and the area was blooming with business and was right next to shopping center if you need to grab supplies, dinner, etc. The building was well kept and rooms were clean. My over all stay was pretty good.

The hotel is right off the interstate and sometimes the traffic can wake you if your on that side of the building. I tried to keep the fan on the A/C unit but turned off time to time with allowed me to hear traffic when sleeping. I also choose this hotel for the pool and when I arrived it was closed and didn't see anything about it being closed

I really liked the location of the hotel..I felt safe and it was walking distance to several restaurants and stores.... (Golden Corral... Target.. Wing Stop.. Taco Bell.. Cold Stone Creamery.. just to name a few.. also not to far from the shopping mall and restaurants in Fairview Heights. The room was standard size but enough room for my 3yr old to run around😂😂...

The floor in the bathroom could have been a little cleaner... moreover the tub and the toilet was really clean so I was ok..

Cleanliness, location, restaurants & Target , grocery store Dierbergs. Love the lounge chair.

Breakfast, frozen egg. sausage crossant, oatmeal in styrofoam bowl, yuk. I can’t believe they are not using paper plates,bowls instead of styrofoam !! But what really got me was the person that’s heating up the frozen food, asked me was this my 1st time @ a hotel. Noooooo, I’ve been to many hotels. I did enjoy the bananas tho.

Staff was amazingly friendly!!! They had grab bags of water, granola bar, and a muffin at the front to take as needed/wanted. Breakfast was still served even with COVID, the staff just got items for you. Room was very clean. Good value for a stopping point in travels.

Location was right off freeway but a little confusing to find behind shopping outlets. Again, just off freeway meant you did hear traffic noise all night, not terrible just there.

Super clean, they have a warm breakfast (most hotels still don’t because of COVID), bed was super comfortable! Staff was all Very friendly and helpful. This hotel was very quiet and relaxing. We were on first floor and I never heard anyone next to us, over us, or in the hallway!

No towels in our room when we got there, but it was easily fixed.

the staff was so sweet the pool was heated!! the beds were comfy amazing fresh breakfast

there were a couple places in the ceiling in the lobby that needed attention looked like a leak

The hotel was clean and had an excellent layout for the room and features in it.

I asked to be allowed to pop in my room early to drop off belongings and change clothes. Without even looking I was told no. It was noon. I saw the rooms being cleaned as early as 9:30 the next morning so I am not sure how there could have been no possibility of a room being available at noon.

Comfy beds. Location.

Moldy danishes. Had to request at desk for room clean Need a full size mirror and better lighting for makeup

Clean and comfortable

No handicap accessible room with bench in shower except a room with 1 bed. What makes corporate think disabled people don’t have families or need 2 beds.At least you could go to Walmart and buy some benches. Did you ever try getting in and out of a tub on one leg?
