La Quinta by Wyndham Bowling Green

This was a great 1/2 way stop on a drive from Florida. The location is super easy, right off the highway. Check in was a breeze. There was one couple ahead of me, and the reception employee (Cheryl) was really welcoming, very friendly, and funny, too. After driving 10 hours, it was great to be welcomed by someone so nice. The room was very comfortable, the temperature was actually perfect - no need to mess with a thermostat. Great pillows, something I'm very picky about. Breakfast in the morning had a good selection to choose from, including fresh fruit.

I couldn't figure out a way to turn the fan off in the bathroom, and it was a bit loud. I just closed the door, though.

The staff was nice, I really didn't interact with them a whole lot, but when I did, they were polite. The room was clean and loved the shower! The beds are on the firmer side, not hard or uncomfortable, just more firm than what I normally like. I did sleep well, though! It looks as if it was recently renovated or redone, very clean and very nice! Good location too! The breakfast was small, but still good. There were waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal and they had a small hot bar with eggs and sausage. Over all, will definitely be staying here. I also did read all the negative reviews before booking. I didn't seen any roaches, bugs or construction. I didn't experience anyone being rude to be either. Overall, a 8/10 for us and our family!

The location was great. The staff was super friendly and helpful with any questions we had. The beds were comfy and the breakfast was pretty good. The cookies in the lobby around 3 pm were great as well. The fitness facility was well maintained, a bit small but still nice. The pool area looked to have hand painted walls/ceiling. Very nice art work. Pool was a bit older, but worked for our needs.

For the most part everything was great. The only thing we didn't like was that an unknown bug was in the bathroom. We smashed it quickly and disposed of it. We didn't say anything to the staff because it was the only one that we had seen in a 3 day stay. It could have been tracked in from outside.

Front desk staff professional, helpful and very friendly. Rooms were clean. Location was great as right off I65 and close to many restaurants and local attractions.

Key card system for rooms are awful. One room had both cards deactivated day of check out before we checked out. Breakfast was ok but they need a second waffle maker. Eggs were not great and 2 of 4 days no orange juice.$200 hold out on rooms until after checkout. Daily knock at door to collect dirty towels but a different person brings clean ones and one day only gave us hand towels and not bath towels. Pool water was pretty cold and need to ask front desk staff for towels. Overall it was ok.

The woman working the front desk when we checked in was so friendly and welcoming. We had a hearing impaired room, which was wonderful. The room itself was large, as was the bathroom. The shower had plenty of grab bars, and the spay from the shower head was great. There was a couch in the room, and the television had plenty of good channels. The king bed had feather pillows. The property was very clean. Good continental breakfast.

The bed was a little soft for me, and it was set up high, which was a bit of a struggle to get into. The breakfast hours on a Saturday were from 6-9, which for a weekend I thought was a bit short.

The location was convenient because it was right off the expressway. The property was well maintained. The staff was very friendly. The hotel had everything that I needed to be comfortable.

I think the other guests were happy with the breakfast. There were eggs, sausage, apples, yogurt, waffles, cereal and different kinds of bread. My husband and I have special diets. We are vegetarians and eat a low carb diet. I had some yogurt and my husband had a cup of orange at the hotel. We went out in town which we didn’t mind at all for breakfast. We don’t expect any hotel to be able to accommodate such a specialized diet.

This is an above average hotel in a good area for travelers. The best part of our stay were the staff. I made a mistake with the date when I made a reservation and they were able to find us a room even though they were technically full for the night. What a lovely, kind front desk clerk. I wish I could remember her name. But she went above and beyond to help us out after we arrived about 8 pm without a real reservation. There are restaurants within walking distance. Bed was very comfortable.

i was placed into a handicap room, I'm not disabled, but for a handicap room the bathroom would not be acceptable to handicap fold...a bathtub for handicap??! One of the window shear drape reach rods was not in place, found it on window sill. The room heater/cooler functions locally on unit, but there was a wall unit thermostat that seem to be disabled, not sure why. The door anti-entry swing lock needs to be replaced, it's missing a pin.

Breakfast, central location, cleanliness of the grounds and room

No place to sit outside and relax, an outdoor back area behind the pool would be nice. Perhaps a smoking/vape area. I also had family members who, when their beds were freshly made.. the sheets or pillow cases were still damp. I have a feeling the staff rushed drying to get out of there on time and hot sheets are hard to tell if their dry or damp. lengthening the drying time or ensure the dryer vent area is clear.

we were just traveling through and needed a place to stay overnight. the room was dark, quiet- bed comfortable and we slept great. showered: water pressure good and towels soft. room clean and spacious, good amenities (coffee, hair dryer, fridge/microwave), I love the USB ports on the side of the bed!!! we had very good breakfast in the common area in the morning. noticed people had their pets all over the hotel which my husband commented on as a negative, but for some people nowadays that may be a positive. all employees were pleasant and helpful

key card technology probably needs an update. you do need to stand there for a few seconds before the reader recognizes the card and lets you in. it’s not the worst, just noticed it’s slow compared to other places I’ve stayed.
