The Campbell House Lexington, Curio Collection by Hilton

Initially when we walked in, it’s GORGEOUS. It felt good. Check in was super easy, however, someone was already occupying the room when we walked in. We went back to the desk, quick change and apology and all was fine. Bed felt amazing. It was a little noisy right on the road next to the hospital but we still slept great. The bar and the lounge area outside was really great! Atmosphere out there was top notch. In the morning, they have a great coffee bar! Wished we had more time to stay, we weren’t ready to leave.

Window coverings arent “black out” and I like dark sleep but I still managed to sleep great. It’s a little pricey, especially since we stayed on a Thursday and Friday but the atmosphere was phenomenal. I think there was a horse event that weekend too so that could’ve been a factor in price.

Very different but cool hotel located 2 miles from downtown Lexington. I will definitely stay again! Also, the beds and pillows were AMAZING!

Bathroom size. When trying to open the bathroom door, I kept hitting the bathtub. Bathroom is definitely small, but my room had a mirror in the the hallway, so I opened up the ironing board and got ready with my makeup and hair tools from there.

Location is great and staff were very polite and friendly. Unfortunately we didn't get to utilize the restaurant or bar but it looked great. Loved the décor and feel of the place! Will definitely make a point to use the hotel facilities more next time.

The rooms are not very well sound proofed so we heard tv's and movement and voices in the corridor a lot. Unfortunately this is not great when travelling with pets as they react to noise and voices. I missed the college football game because there had been a complaint about our dogs barking while we were out and I didn't want to inconvenience other guests so I stayed behind to sit with the dogs. It was pretty noisy all evening with people coming and going but at least I kept them quiet. It would have been very helpful and more convenient to have been accommodated on the first floor having pets rather than on the second floor. Maybe that is something to consider when accommodating guests with pets in the future.

The property is beautiful, with newly redone areas, a restaurant, cafe and lovely outdoor seating areas. When you are just outside the front lobby, you might forget where you are because the outdoor seating and beautiful pillars are reminiscent of a beach getaway. The beds are fairly comfy, too!

The bathroom in the room is not ideal for getting ready if you have makeup or hair tools and there isn’t a good spot in the main part of the room either.

I enjoyed staying at this property in august 2021. The decor was very unique and different from all the grey and white you see everywhere. The gym was fantastic too, I used a few of the machines. The entire hotel was very well decorated and well maintained. The bathrooms were very nicely updated and cleaned. The bed was very comfortable to sleep on. I used the iron in the room as well. Overall the hotel had everything I needed and the location was great, close to the mall. Would stay here again.

The theme of the hotel makes this place an unique experience. The Hilton app was very convenient and easy to use, it let us choose the room with a layout of the hotel and we pick the second one on the corner top floor west side (the view was the horse facing to us). We arrived late and did the check-in using the app and used our phone as the door key all the time. The room was very clean. We stay here to go to "all horses" experiences around Lexington. We love wake up and have the view of the horse statue through the window and driving by the hotel entrance feeling like staying in a antique farm house. Also the lobby is decor with horses, love it! We also like they are dog friendly and the restaurant food is a must! Note: Don't pick a room in the east side (restaurant side) because there are the restaurant patio seats and it may not be super quiet.

Before you read the bad, I want you to know I will stay here again if I come back to Lex. This is not your Hyatt or Hilton high end class hotel. The rooms are not the most updated rooms you can imagine. The bathroom is small. You can hear your neighbor guest through the walls lol. There are not many surfaces or tables around the bedroom or the bathroom. BUT again, we will come back because the experience was nice!

The location in Lexington was perfect to get downtown or off to the highway to visit another part of the state. I loved the look and feel of the hotel.

It’s a little easy to get lost in the hallways! Even with a map I got turned around a few times.

Loved our stay there. Right in the middle of Lexington close to downtown and the racetrack. My only complaint was I ask for extra pillows when I checked in and the second day we were there and never received. When went to lounge to drink no waitress came around. Had to stand on side bar and wait quite a while for my drinks to be made. Then when waitress finally came over 45 minutes of being there to only ask if we were having drinks? We said yes and had empty drinks and she just walked away. Leaving us having to wait at bar for another drink. But male bartender can make a mean drink 🐝. Overall we were happy with our stay.

the hotel is inviting and has a lot of charm. the room, while small, had a lovely interior design and the king sized bed was incredibly comfortable. Everything was clean and smelled fresh. All staff I interacted with were kind and very accommodating. The breakfast cafe area was great and had a variety of drinks and sand which options.

I wish the tavern bar and grill restaurant was open for lunch as well as dinner (I’m being picky) but otherwise this was a wonderful stay for the price!

The location was 10 minutes away from the Bluegrass Airport. We had three couples flying in and out of this airport making our run to and from easy and convenient. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were nice size. Busy weekend with Kentucky Derby, weddings and Mother’s Day and the restaurant staff handled it well.
