SpringHill Suites by Marriott New Orleans Downtown/Canal Street

The gym is one of the best I have found in a hotel and I am an avid gym goer. No rowing machine but otherwise good aerobic, stretching and weight equipment. Clean and well placed near the lovely rooftop patio which is a great place to chill out after a workout. Breakfasts have good variety and lots of seating so convenient for getting the day started. Room was large, clean and well provisioned except no safe which hotels seem usually to have these days. However there was no evidence of any security problem. Staff were friendly and helpful. Also has guest use laundry facility which is great on a longer trip.

Rooms are large but feel a bit spare. Utilitarian but not cozy if that is important to you. Location is a bit removed from the action of the French Quarter so Uber or taxi trips are more likely particularly for those not up to walking a half mile or so though an area with a few street people and other characters. We did walk mostly and had no problems. There are no corner or grocery stores nearby. Street cars go by and are fun to take but not very quick method for getting anywhere.

I enjoyed the free breakfast the views and overall cleanliness.

the parking situation was not ideal. Cars were either parked across the street by valet or cheaper done on your own and has security or public parking next door is available however first night there as we were about to park a truck had their window smashed in. Lots of sketchy people hanging next door in the public parking with no security even though we did not park there it was an issue at night while heading out to our car across the street.

Quiet, fulfilling breakfast, the staff was truly friendly, helpful and made us feel comfortable. The bartenders were friendly and great at making our drinks, the Hurricane was delicious! Nia was an exceptional staff member, she made sure we had information before we ventured out and greeted us in a friendly manner. We liked when we needed something fixed ie the toilet seat it was fixed quickly. The computer tech, Derrick (I hope that's his name) was patient in helping my husband connect to WI-FI, he was also friendly and professional. This was a nice hotel to stay at especially with the street car line across the street. We liked the Sky Bar and the view of the city.

The side of the bed closest to the window was squeaky whenever my husband got out or in bed. The Air Conditioner would not keep the room cool. The inside shower handle was loose and the lights next to the right side of the bed didn't workbut it was quickly fixed when we reported the problems.

We liked the hotel a lot, the facilities are new and fresh, everything was pretty clean and in good condition. Beds were spacious, room was in good order. Breakfast was good (solid continental breakfast - eggs, yogurt, bananas, juices, cereal, coffee/tea, muffins, pastry). Private secure parking about 3-4 minute walk away, paid separately and can be charged to room.

- The A/C vent is right above one of the beds, and blows right into your face if you're on the bed. Redirecting the vent blades doesn't help much. You can easily can get your face frozen if it keeps blowing for 8-hours during the whole night. Make sure you cover your face with a blanket, or turn of the A/C at some point. - The bathroom door: when you close it from the inside, there's a pinch point where you fingers get smashed between the door handle and door post.

The customer service is top tier! The staff is so friendly making sure all the guests felt welcomed, walking around and greeting everyone during breakfast (which was included and was very tasty) they even kept our bags after we checked out so we could explore the city some more before our flight. I will definitely be staying here again!

Everything was great! Even though they didn’t have automatic doors in the front they do have a person at the door to help take your stuff up to your room

The location was excellent, hotel was very nice, loved the roof deck, friendly staff, the parking valet guys where awesome, convenient to public transportation

The ice machine on our floor didn't work and the filtered water in the machine had brown stuff in it🤮, also at a point of time it was a horrible smell of sewage on our floor too. 3rd floor.

We Loved the Roof Top Bar. Very Nice also the Breakfast was wonderful. Before we could ask. The Hotel Clerk request to get us a Taxi back to the Amtrak Station. We will definitely come again

When asking for more Tissue and towel, it took HK a Minute to bring. Maybe they were busy. Also we requested a view and all We got was a view of a Pool in progress.

I liked the location, the rooftop bar, the price, and the quality of the staff.

I made a reservation for a king bed and received a queen bed and did not have a city view either. We did not have an ice machine on our floor and breakfast was subpar.

Good size room.

Mold in the shower. Was put in handicap room . Didn’t request handicap room. Due to that water on floor when you shower. Bar hours need to be adjusted. No restaurant. Also we arrived after midnight. You have to have a key code to get in after hours. I had to call a friend staying there to get in building, so we could check in

It was very clean and the staff were fantastic. The beds were extremely comfortable. Breakfast was good for a continental style.

Upgraded to a room with a panoramic city view. I didn't know this would be on the second floor and the only view we would get was a parking lot. We could hear a lot of noise outside at night.
