Anchorage by the Sea

I totally loved the staff! So friendly and made us feel so welcome. Our room was 100% immaculate and I’m a clean freak. I ate a croissant on my outside seating space and they apologized for bothering me when they vacuumed the crumbs from outside during the later afternoon time! They’re that great. No need to apologize bc you’re amazing! Inside and outside was spotless! I thanked every staff member and cleaner for their hospitality bc each and every person made us feel welcome and cared for! Never had this at any other resort in the US

I think the menu options at the on side restaurant were not varied. We never tried the food so we don’t know if it’s tasty bc the menu looked limited compared to the restaurants off property but still within walking distance.

Clean, great location. Amenities.

Parking. We came back from dinner a little late one night and there was not even one empty spot to park our car. We had to talk to reception, they had to talk to someone to pull their car out. As we were working on this, another couple from New York show up with the same problem. We ended up parking by the trash bin -where there wasn’t a spot. They parked behind us blocking us because they were checking out earlier the next day. It was resolved but it was a hassle for all parties involved. There has to be a better system to ensure that all the cars in the lot are current guests and there are no guests that park two or three cars when only one is allowed.

I love the Anchorage. I loved the location of my room. The facilities are super clean, it has everything you need all in one place. The restaurant has great food and drinks. The staff is very nice and accommodating. Barbara at the front desk was very accommodating as well.

Wish there was more parking. For the money I paid for my room. My husband and I took separate cars and only one of us could park on the grounds. The other had to pay $30-$50 to park somewhere that was not close and not convenient.

The room was very clean and comfy. The bed was so comfortable, I didn't want to get out of it. The water pressure was fantastic!

Our room had the humming/vibration noise from the bathroom that we couldn't figure out. I recorded it and the night manager listen and sent the serviceman up. The thing was that when it would start humming or vibrating all you had to do was flush the toilet and it would stop for about an hour and then it would do it again. I got up at least 4 times during the night just to flush it to make it stop. My husband did the same.

It was one of the most relaxing vacations. We barely left the premises because everything was right there, pool,jacuzzi, ocean views. The resturant on the grounds was exceptional. We ate a lunch and two dinners there and we were not disappoint. Drinks were delicious with a fair price. Staff was incredibly helpful and the restaurant was spotless. All food was fresh and cooked to perfection. We can’t wait to come back and stay longer.

We were across the street this year Wasn’t as happy And out our patio door - saw a house and big heating / air conditioning unit - certainly nothing pretty to look at Hot tub should be available beyond 10 for adults We were just getting in and wasn’t able to use at night time Fire pits are wonderful- again - shut down to early and restaurant/ bar not available- quite a few people were upset with that What you provide at the Anchorage is wonderful- you just need to extend it As for me - I prefer the ocean side of the rooms

great location next to the water. we stayed in the flagship building which is across the street from the actual hotel.. Building very clean room was big and had an electric fireplace. I took a walk on the walk way behind the hotel next to the water it was so beautiful. they also have 2 propane fireplaces it was nice sitting next to it hanging out.

views in flagship building were horrible. electric fireplace made a ticking sounds when on and shot of after 10mins. could have used a remote so I did t have to keep getting up to turn it on but it was very nice to have it beautiful addition to the room.

Everything that you could possibly want in a a get-away to the coast of Maine is on this property- an amazing view of the Atlantic Ocean and Ogunquit Beach, multiple heated pools and jacuzzis (indoor and outdoor), an outdoor jacuzzi with an "adults only" hour from 9:00-10:00 pm, many lounge chairs set around the pools' patios and on the plush, green-grass lawn over looking the ocean for sunbathing and relaxing, direct access to the Marginal Way, a fabulous restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, an "adults only" bar and deck on second floor of the restaurant, clean rooms and amazing water pressure for your shower, too!! If you want to explore Ogunquit with all it's quaint shops, top-notch dinning experiences and fun bars, this hotel is perfect because everything is within walking distance. Once you arrive at the Anchorage by the Sea, you don't need to get back into your car for anything. The Marginal Way takes you right to Perkins Cove and Ogunquit Beach! (Walk the roads back to the hotel so you don't miss more fun shops.) Everyone is wonderfully friendly and appreciative of your patronage. My husband and I stayed 2 days during the off season in April. Prices are better and there are no crowds. It was even warm enough to walk the beach bare foot. Everything was fabulous! Note- It books up quickly so make your plans well in advance.😊

The resort is very clean and beautiful. The staff works really hard! We stayed in the Towers. I noticed people putting trash and towels on the floor outside their rooms and felt that ruined the image of this beautiful resort. Perhaps you can think of an alternative solution such as a late afternoon or early evening pick up of these items. Thank you!

Loved the location and the layout of the property. The lawn area was beautiful.

The public bathroom in the pool area needs to be maintained more frequently during the day. Was unpleasant to use . Floor always wet, papers on floor. Toilet overflowed. People below us were smoking which drifted up to our balcony. Not pleasant especially for children
