The location is walkable to downtown, staff is super attentive, but you don’t feel like you need permission to come and go. Really pretty property. Having some breakfast options are nice and eating them off of actual china is even better! They let you leave your luggage after you check out for a while so you can keep exploring!

Steps are steep to top floors. No meat at breakfast and there are so very dark patches on the walk from downtown at night.

The web site and written material indicated that we would be able to order breakfast the night before and have it delivered to our room. That is no longer the choice. Your web site and written material needs to be updated to reflect the current conditions. Breakfast was fine, it just wasn't what was advertised. Monica offered different items for breakfast that she made, and they were very good.

The room was very small which was ok but, the bed was against the wall, and it made it very difficult for the person on the inside to get up to go to the bathroom during the night. That room should be designated for single occupancy. When a couple is staying they should be given preference for rooms that offer the opportunity to get out on either side of the bed.

Each morning we were served a delicious, nutritious breakfast, with several different choices. My husband and I tried everything and were impressed with the variety and gourmet quality. The coffee was hot and strong, just the way we like it. The Inn was comfortable, clean and fascinating. It has been around since 1771. What an experience to stay amidst such history. We ascended to the widow's walk almost every evening, which was one of the highest points in town. We could see for miles around in all directions. We watched the sun set. The proprietors, Madelyn and Chris, were so hospitable and made us feel at home.

On occasion, the air conditioner was too cold for me, but my husband loved it.

I loved the decor, the views and the way the hotel looked. The parking was great as well and the location was great and cozy. Free breakfast as well was nice.

The size if the bathroom was really small, the shower head was low and the floors creaked. Plus the toilet was kind of dirty and little tpilet paper.

Historically well appointed and decorated for the Holidays. Warm and cozy room with good lighting and fresh, crisp linen, bedding.

I absolutely love the location and very friendly staff. Monica is the best! Our room was huge, had a comfortable bed, and was beautifully decorated. The hotel has a very nice outdoor sitting area and widow's walk with spectacular views of the town. It's a beautiful property!

I'm an early riser and would prefer to have breakfast a little bit earlier or at least have coffee ready. There's a Keurig coffee machine, but there were no coffee pods.

The Cliff Lodge is walkable from the ferry terminal (10 minutes) and is a lovely historic home that is clean and well maintained. Very nice staff. Tea available all day in dining room. Very good hot breakfast.

The cleaning fluid (Pine Sol?) used to clean the rooms was so strong that the room smelled overwhelming like chemical cleaners for the two days we stayed there. I am sensitive to smells. I was very happy to see that the room was so clean , but would encourage the use of cleaning products that do not smell so strongly of chemicals. OR at the least, place some organic reed difusers that would cover the chemical smell. Another issue: from our room on the first floor, we could hear everyone coming and going, and were woken at 6:30 am by a man talking loudly in the living room. I spoke to the manager/owner about this and she said she planned to order rugs to muffle the sound, as well as place "QUIRT" signs in the common areas. Other than these issues, it was a lovely home in a nice location.

My fiancé and I couldn’t believe our luck when we stumbled upon the Cliff Lodge Inn. I’ve been visiting Nantucket with my family for 26 years and I can truly say this is the best place we’ve stayed. Most recently we spent an eight night stay at their Inn on what would’ve been our honeymoon and they couldn’t have been more wonderful hosts. The inn is expertly run by the incredible Madelon and Lisa, who make you feel right at home from the time you enter the door (included: delicious complimentary wine). If you don’t care for waiting in line at black eyed Susan’s for breakfast don’t worry, they offer a delicious breakfast menu. The Cliff Lodge is bursting with the classic Nantucket charm that is quintessentially Nantucket. Our favorite was sitting out at night on the porch balcony swing reading and sipping wine (see above). Seriously do yourself a favor, and book it; you won’t find anywhere better! We are counting down the days till next summer when we can return to our new favorite place.

Location excellent breakfast wonderful staff accommodating and very friendly. Very clean very neat the only thing negative was the size of the shower it is for very skinny midgets!

The breakfast was excellent that was provided at a nearby hotel.

The hotel was wonderful - staff very friendly and helpful. The only reason it was rated as good is because we had to drap up two heavy pieces of luggage to our room located on the third floor. Its understood that in older homes there was no elevator but maybe get a staircase lift of something to help heavy items when putting people on the top floor. They could have informed us that this particular room we reserved would be located on the third floor prior to our arrival.
