Clark Currier Inn

Caitlin and family have successfully gone out of their way to anticipate what guests want, whether traveling solo, with spouse/partner, or a large family group such as ours. The spacious arrangement of public and private spaces, unexpectedly quiet so one felt like they had the place to themselves despite full occupancy, a wonderful breakfast that was just right, and touches like free port and cookies for after dinner gatherings, all made for a perfect home away from home.

Honestly, nothing!

Charming historic inn on a nice street and real close to restaurants and shops. Off street parking. Nice breakfast room and good breakfast. Very clean and tidy with up to date bathroom. Great place for book reading as there are multiple common areas. I would say it is more suited to couples than families with young children.

Could not adjust the AC in our room, and the room and bathroom became too cold. After a phone call the issue was addressed.

The Clark Currier Inn exceeded our expectations for a weekend getaway from the city. The room was quaint with a queen bed and ample enough space to fit a couple of desks and a couch. The best part of the stay was the breakfast in the morning with the other guests and Caitlin. The food was better than most hotels I've stayed at with the personal touch of Caitlin there to chat you up and give you advice for your local adventures. Homemade cookies we're a nice treat coming back in from a night on the town. There is also a nice outdoor seating area to have a glass of wine during the day or evening.

A wonderful bed and breakfast with a cheerful and accommodating hostess! Caitlin served a really wonderful breakfast each morning... such a sweet place and so close to town. A really wonderful experience

As with most antique home bed and breakfast...the walls we're pretty thin and we could hear our neighbors talking on both sides. This was an anniversary getaway....so it was hard to be 100% comfortable, if you know what I mean.

The staff made this stay perfect. Caitlin was so accommodating. she even supplied wine glasses and a cheese board for me when our nieces came to visit. The breakfasts were amazing with fresh fruit and breakfast casseroles that were delicious and healthy. The location for walking to dinner, shopping or the waterfront was perfect. Location is three blocks from the water. The property is well kept with parking and outdoor seating. We certainly hope to stay here again.

The shower in our room was very small

Breakfast was delicious with many homemade choices, muffins and cakes, frittata and a fabulous fruit salad. Also the location was perfect. Easy to walk to restaurants, cafes and shopping. The Inn was very relaxing with the feeling of being in the home of a friend.

Since we were there for five nights it would have been nice to have the room cleaned once.

The Inn is centrally located and is extremely charming. Caitlin and her husband Chris couldn't have been nicer. We had the Pike Room on the first floor. Breakfast served from 7:15-9:15 in the sunroom and was delicious. Had a nice variety of choices, including an egg dish each morning. Both coffee and tea available. There's a small fridge for guests to keep their beverages and an ice maker. We even had an impromptu dinner one night with provisions we bought in town (including wine!). We ate in the sunroom and they provided dishes and silver. Room and bed very comfortable - every room is different. Plenty of parking in the back of the building. Wi-fi worked just great. There's a lovely garden area with gazebo in the back yard - unfortunately not in bloom as we were there in March - but I bet it's beautiful in the summer!

We had no problems whatsoever. However, when booking here's a heads up - there are rooms on all three floors and no elevator. But the view from the top of the Inn is great!

A very charming inn! The breakfast was very good and cooked fresh every morning. I really enjoyed the coffee that was available throughout the day. The room was cozy and very clean, and the bed was comfortable! I also appreciated the on-site parking. The customer service was superb! Kenzie was very professional and welcoming. Very central location in Newburyport. Would definitely recommend!

No complaints!

Our room was lovely, spacious and very clean. There were several public rooms where you could read and relax. It was very calm and quiet. The breakfasts were delicious and attractively presented. The staff was attentive and happy to help with any request. We will certainly stay here again when we’re back in the area!

It was all good!

The location of the inn is walking distance to the water and center of town. The inn is comfortably furnished with several nice sitting areas available throughout the property which we very much enjoyed. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was modern and immaculate and had a nightlight.

The were no bedside tables in our room so no place to set a cell phone or watch overnight, which I like to have available to check the time when I wake. There were knocking noises during the night which we at first found unsettling as there was an exterior door to an outside stairway near our bed. It turns out what we were hearing were pipes knocking and this happened throughout the night, waking us at times.
