Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Boston South - Randolph, an IHG Hotel

Clean room warm, everything's bright and staff is friendly. The beds are like falling back into a big marshmallow. My shower was hot and the shower pressure perfect. Coffee was great. I definitely recommend this hotel if you're interested in a stay in the Randolph area! Close to everything, conveniently located especially if you get dropped by a cab, like I did.

No complaints, except I was told online 50 dollar deposit and it turned into 75 when I got here. They at first couldn't take the card I used to reserve my room but the dilemma was solved after staff intervenedand stepped up to help!

Good breakfast with variety

The pool was not working. We got there Wednesday, we’re told the pool would be operational Thursday morning. It was not, told again Thursday afternoon, it was not, told Friday at 0800, it was not. The lady was kind enough to give us a call at almost 1000 to tell us the pool was now open, but it was time to check out. My kids were very disappointed that we had done our best to book a hotel with an indoor pool, only for their dream to get crushed. I wish the staff said the pool was out if commission without promising without delivering. We didn’t get full value for what we paid for!

The Staff was Fabulous and the Room was top notch. With all my travels Since 2020 and COVID 13 times across the USA, simply the Best hotel I've stayed at by Far on Booking.com or any other Travel site. Just loved it. After so many disappointing Stays with no staff and poor conditions. Super Value for the Boston area. Tried to tip the staff and they refused our Money.

Not any Aspect

From the moment we walked through the front door every staff member was wonderful! They made us feel very welcome. Mike, James and Isaac at the front desk always had a smile. In fact, James made us an anniversary card and the staff signed it. It made our day! Maria was in the cleaning crew on our floor and made sure to greet us with a good morning and asking us if we needed anything. William, in the breakfast area, was so attentive. One morning we were running late and he came over to make sure we didn't want anything else before he closed. The breakfast was fine, included a variety of hot and cold items. The room was clean and quiet.. The bed was comfortable.

There breakfast was okay. The hot food was obviously cooked elsewhere and reheated, but for that it was decent. There was a good variety of options and plenty to eat. The kids especially like the pancake making machine. The staff was always super helpful and friendly. The rooms were comfortable and I liked the microwave, fridge, coffee maker provided.

For some reason our rooms weren't cleaned by housekeeping at all during our weeklong stay. I don't know if I was supposed to ask or not, but clarity on that up front would have been good. Also, they were not able to have our rooms close together or even on the same floor, which I can understand given our last-minute booking, but it would have been more convenient. Also, the desk being right next to the AC vent meant that I was always freezing whenever I was working.

The region lost power after one of the worst storms in recent Massachusetts history. The hotel was without power for two days, during which time the management made sure I was accommodated elsewhere at their expense until power was restored. Given some 400,000 homes were without power, finding an equivalent suite was probably not easy as everywhere was sold out, but somehow Amine made sure I was taken care of. Exceptional service. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the employees friendly and helpful.

Not much.

Nice value property. The staff are amazing! In particular Ms. Nancy Hernandez who worked a double with grace and was so kind. She loaned me her pristine personal pet bathing tub to soak my extremely blistered feet from far too much walking and brought me salt packets to use. The next morning she was still there — someone had called in. She was efficient, gracious and kind. Someone promote that woman!

New but a bit worn

The suite was a good size with a very comfortable bed and everything was fresh and clean. I was impressed by the housekeeping staff's diligently following sanitizing protocol in the common high touch areas. The breakfast buffet had nice array of offerings to choose from each morning. The staff from the reception desk, housekeeping and the gentleman overseeing the buffet were pleasant as well as professional.

Due to Covid, having to make arrangements to have our room cleaned 24 hrs in advance came as an annoying surprise. As with many hotels the walls are thin and you pray that your neighbor in the next room is considerate. I would want to be on the top floor also as I suspect having someone overhead would be noisy.

I liked the price and cleanliness most of all! The location to the city wasn’t bad; it took us about a half hour to get to Boston, but the traffic was pretty heavy at times. The breakfast was nice; they had sausage and potatoes one day, and then sausage, bacon, mini cheese omelettes, and scrambled eggs the next day. Also, yummy hot cinnamon rolls each day. You can also make pancakes! The man working the breakfast area was very good about helping and cleaning up! When we checked in, the man at the front desk said that the pool was closed for cleaning until Wednesday morning. We went to look at the pool Wednesday night when we got back and it looked like it was being repaired; the ladder was completely off and wrapped in plastic. I think he was just saying that thinking we wouldn’t still be there. We stayed for 3 nights and we had to ask for more towels and for Kleenex. All in all; a great stay!

The staff, appeared very friendly, helpful, and one at the desk who is a local. She was well informed about the area. She help when I needed a taxi to my event. Also there were another staff, who was also helpful in assisting me when I needed to return from the event back to the hotel. He called a Huba to pick me up at the event. But I informed him a few minutes afterwards, the Huba, were not needed and to cancel the pickup service request he made for me. I had someone at the event to drop me off at the hotel. Overall, for my short stay, I didn't encounter any issues to my knowledge. But would of liked the rat much less for such a short stay. I didn't get to really enjoy the full service for the rate I paid, not at all. I believe, the rate could have been less, and I would have liked to check in at the time I arrived. I had an early arrival, but also got there later than the expected time. Additional, it will be accommodating for some travels like myself to have the option of a complementary shuttle to the bus/train station, as well airport. This in my opinion can be appealing to traveler and helps them to decide the best choice hotel, base on the easy access to and from the hotel given the location of the hotel. To me it will be a added plus along with the other services. Lastly, the staff I met, treated me with good customer service to my knowledge.

In the shower the above ceiling dry-wall appears damage/cracked.
