Holiday Inn Express Boston-Waltham, an IHG Hotel

the eggs SUCK...THEY SUCK, they are terrible..out of a box, crappy make you nauseated....tehy suck. Jesus by a couple boxes of eggs and scramble them... Cereal is great, has browns when you have them are great, meat patties and your OJ is great....you eggs are just terrible...the scrambled are the worst and we always get sick when we eat the ones folded over with cheese....

eggs - they are really just BAD>..our last trip we went elsewhere to get a better breakfst....let me know if you change and we will come back...everything else is great.

All good. But was provided with smoking room even though I was with young kids and informed while booking. Selected non smoking as while booking. Later staff changed it but had to move bags and resettle after long drive and tiring day.

Breakfast was mainly focused for non veg. Only Pancakes were available with long waiting line and slow machine with small pancakes. Waffle maker addition will be good.

This was a typical, dependable Holiday Inn. The rooms were spacious, clean, had good towels, comfortable mattresses, and good air conditioning. It was exactly what we expected and wanted. One plus was that we arrived at the hotel with quite a bit of dirty laundry. There was a small laundry room on our floor. We were able to do two loads in the early morning and were very grateful for this amenity.

The cleanliness of the entire building not just the entrance is impressive. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious.

We did not like how difficult the slider bathroom door was to open and close. We were also surprised and disappointed that they did not serve coffee all day. Additionally the tub was super slippery. Be sure to ask for a mat if you get a room with a tub.

Convenient, clean and professional staff

The only complaint was it was hot & humid throughout when we arrived. And they had to check us in the old school way due to system problems. I am thinking the power may have went out but not sure. Staff did a great job in checking us in and within 45 minutes the hvac was working perfectly

The room was very clean, the staff was friendly & helpful, the breakfast was the best we've had in a hotel. There was a lot of food to choose from. Parking was spacious.

The toilet was close to the sink with the toilet paper rack on it & was in my side when sitting but not a deal breaker.

The breakfast was very good. I enjoyed the variety with eggs, bagels, sausages, and the cinnamon buns were delicious and different types of juices. BTW: the woman worked the breakfast shift was so pleasant and a real sweetie. She deserves a raise.

The last day as we were leaving there were about 20-30 children who were running wild on the first floor and unsupervised. Apparently they were on a hockey trip, but while running up and down the hallway some of them were swinging their plastic hockey sticks (I nearly got whacked by one of them), a couple of them were playing with the ice machine in way that ice was falling onto the floor which was creating a dangerous situation if someone slipped on a piece of ice. The parents or chaperones of these children were derelict in their duties. The employees in the lobby should have been more aware of what was going on without my having to notify them. Unfortunately this last morning did put a real negative spin on an otherwise very nice stay.

The hot breakfast is very good, and the location is very convenient and quiet too. Most of the staffs are very nice and friendly. We specially liked the water pressure of the shower. In a cold day, a hot shower makes it easy to fall into sleep. Overall we enjoyed the stay and will come back again in the feature.

The room size is a little on the small side with 2 people and a pet. I wished that there were 2 chairs in the room but there was no room for another chair.

I didn't really use the breakfast area, other than for coffee, but it looked well stocked, and like it had a good variety of options. I liked the fact there was a gym. I also liked the size of our room and kingsized bed.

The main issue I had was with the air handler directly above the bed. It was constantly blowing, and there was no way to redirect the air. Having it hit in the head area all night was not the best for a good night's sleep. I also felt that the gym was a bit too small.

I appreciated that the staff was very understanding and let us check in early after being awake for hours and driving a long distance to move our son into college I wasn't feeling good. The gentleman at check in was very helpful in letting us check in early.
