Friendly staff, pretty decorated lobby, good breakfast, close to town, quiet. Would stay again.

Hard to find. It was very dark, the lighting for the big hotel sign off the highway was broken. We passed it then realized we missed it cause we were looking for a big sign and the building faces in a direction where you can't tell it's a hotel. Once you find it, you have to zig zag thru a church parking lot entrance with poor lighting to get to the hotel (tiny sign for the hotel with arrow here.) No entrance from the highway in front of the hotel, just a bike path. When I mentioned it, the front desk gal said sorry and said that the light had been out for awhile and someone had actually driven down the bike path thinking it was the entrance.... Seems like better signage would be an easy fix.

I was warmly greeted at the reservation desk, check-in and check-out were quick and professional, and the accommodations were top notch. I especially enjoyed the extra effort AmericInn makes to accommodate guests who travel with pets. My room was pet-friendly and showed no signs of previous pets being in the room. Likewise, I tried to be a responsible pet owner. AmericInn goes the extra mile to make their guests welcome. This was my second visit to this AmericInn, and it won't be my last.

If I'm going to be ultra critical, the signage to the facility could be more obvious, but I found the motel with little effort.

That is, was pet friendly, and they had adequate outdoor space for dogs to relieve themselves. They even have a nice walking trail right in front of the hotel that i was able to take them for walks. And they provided bags to clean up after them. I always take mine, but its nice when they provide this. So, others see it and pick up after their pets. I've stayed at "pet friendly" hotels before, and they had no areas for the dogs. It is an older hotel, but they have kept it very clean. I even decided to extend my trip one more day.

The staff was excellent . Breakfast was good. The person preparing the breakfast was very kind and accommodating ! She help my mother bring breakfast to our room. That was appreciated very much. Front desk clerk was great and very helpful , any time we needed anything coffee , a complimentary tooth brush whatever.

We did need our shower head repaired and my Mom was not able to shower. The bracket that made the shower head adjust was broken so it was not accessible. I was able to manage but my mother was not and we paid more for the room so the shower would be handicap accessible. We did let the desk clerk and she did have a maintenance guy address the issue, it just was after the fact, We were leaving. The maintenance man was also there to fix a broken toilet seat!

Friendly staff, quiet room. Easy access, not far from downtown Charleviox. Jacuzzi tub.

Pillows were way too soft. The shower floor felt slimy and there is no rim to catch water since it is a walk in shower. The drain in the shower didn't seem to work, so the water ran into the drain on the bathroom floor. Everything was wet, definitely a fall hazard. Running the jacuzzi tub was great, but you could hear the drain on the bathroom floor gurgle after it drained.

Nice facility. Indoor pool with warm water. Hot tub not working. Staff was very nice. Continental breakfast daily included biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, toast, muffins, cereal and belgian waffles. No eggs or meat. Coffee/tea/hot chocolate 24/7. Also they had pump syrups for the coffee (nice touch). Room was clean, spacious and quiet. Plan on returning.

Our stay was a bit unexpected, as our reservations for a different place fell though. We were thoroughly pleased when we arrived here. The staff was wonderful. There was a nice selection for breakfast from biscuits and gravy, waffles and cold cereals. Everything was good! They offered tea, hot chocolate and coffee 24-7.

No complaints.

The breakfast choices were good. The staff was very prompt at keeping the food stocked and the breakfast area clean. The hotel location was acceptable and as expected.

The lighting in the room was very dim. It seemed like all of the light bulbs were very low wattage. We were on the ground floor and did find and kill three small, black bugs.

Hotel was great. Our large group arrived late in the evening and was checked into our rooms quickly by friendly staff. Rooms were comfortable and clean, and complementary breakfast was delicious. Proximity to downtown Charlevoix was a big plus.

The price quoted in our online booking confirmation was quite a bit lower than that charged at the hotel. While staff acknowledged we had been quoted a lower rate, they explained that the bookings were made through an independent source and they were unable to offer any adjustment or accommodation. Had to pay a higher price (for seven rooms).

I traveled with my sisters and we all three agree that we highly recommend this hotel. As nice hotels go it was less expensive than the others we looked at, it was very clean, and the breakfast buffet was fantastic! They also had a lot of autumn decorations up that made everything look even more charming than it already is. The next time we need a hotel in the Charlevoix area we will definetely return!
