Holiday Inn Express & Suites Grand Rapids Airport North, an IHG Hotel

I liked how spacious the room was, and that there was a night stand on both sides of the bed (in our King Room w/sofa). There was a microwave and refrigerator in the room, which was useful! Overall it was pretty clean and the staff was friendly.

I was not pleased with the breakfast. The coffee was not hot, the rolls were not soft nor fresh, and there weren't quite enough healthy food options. Also, my pillow had a make-up stain on it--hopefully it was a stain and not a dirty pillowcase. The lobby did not smell good/clean.

Upon arrival, Evelyn greeted us and was adorable. She is a newer employee and said its a great place to work! She was informative. And it was not just the newness of the job, the same friendliness was given to us the next day by the agent that was working early morning shift. I also spoke to the general manager abt an issue! The room was very clean, beds were comfy. I actually was sleeping on the hide-a bed and even that was comfortable! The entire location was very clean!!The hotel is a bit hidden, but very easy access from the expressway! I would recommend this hotel to everyone. They have an awesome staff.

Truly, what my complaint was, may have been a filtering issue! I was looking for a hotel with a hot tub and there was none. I was not alone as we ran into other couples that had the same disappointment. looking back at the website. I am no longer finding it when I filter! This issue was brought to management, and they were looking into it.

This facility is fairly new and the room was excellent. I felt safe and slept in late a vile of days. The windows shades were great at keeping my room dark and the staff was exceptional. I was originally scheduled for a 2 night stay, but ended up staying 2 more days and my choice of where to stay those 2 days was not even a question. It was tat good.

The last night there there was a fire alarm and it took a few minutes to get it turned off. I felt bad for the person behind the counter, because things became very hectic for her. She handled herself exceptionally though given what was happening. I did not look at this negatively, but instead at how much your employees are able to handle their jobs and still make travelers feel safe.

The hotel room was huge, the bed was super comfy, and the desk and wifi in the room worked great for me to take a few Zoom calls for work during my stay.

Just make sure to check the address! There are multiple "Holiday Inn Express & Suites Grand Rapids Airport" and I did go to the wrong one. Also note the airport shuttle stops running at midnight so you'll have to uber/lyft if you have a later flight.

Beautiful well kept hotel. Very comfortable beds and pillows. All staff were very friendly. Adam was great and thorough in making sure we could swim and things were well sanitized. Lots of purell dispenses at elevators.

The sole purpose of renting a hotel room was for the Grandkids to swim. I called twice to see if pool was opened and I asked desk clerk twice the pool hours and told her we were local and there for the kids to swim. It was never mentioned that we had to Reserve a time for the pool. Luckily when I went down to the desk during 3rd shift. Adam told me that I needed to reserve a time to swim He was very helpful and friendly. He also did a great job sanitizing after each family left the breakfast tables and food area.

The hotel was very clean and comfy. Afternoon staff was great and answered all our questions! The most comfortable hotel bed ever! Very private and family friendly! The pool was very nice and clean, but was freezing cold and we couldn't stay in it long.

Unfortunately with COVID, the breakfast is very limited and left much to be desired. We ended up at a local IHOP instead. The morning staff was a tad rude when asking about a possible second night stay. We ended up leaving for anther hotel as we felt like a "bother" to the person working the front desk in the morning.

Better than the usual free hotel breakfast, but no where near restaurant quality, or even fast food quality. Room was fairly quiet, comfortable and clean. Nice view out window, private.

New staff needed better training. Would have loved a hot tub in addition to the nice pool.

the pool had a really really strong smell of chlorine or some type of chemical. it was pretty much empty the whole trip. we went in it once but had to get out because of the smell.

Breakfast was. I will a bill for my expenses to replace dented wheels after hitting the horribly, rediculous, multiple, extremely deep pot holes along the entire length of access road to get the hotel. I would NOT have reserved room in great facility with an access road as bad as that. That statement should be enough to indicate how rediculous that road is.

The breakfast was great given that we are in the midst of COVID and social distancing, there were several choices and options available - yogurts, cereals, oatmeals, and to go coffee w/creamers.

We recommend a simple notification for guests when confirming stay, in regards of use of the pool and workout facilities. Guests need to sign up for a time slot ahead of time. We weren't planning on using them but if we were, we would haven't been able to because all slots were full by the time we checked in. We realize that everyone is doing their best and we totally get it, but maybe a notice ahead of time for anyone planning to use the amenities. :)
