This was my first time visiting the Grand Rapids area. I stayed here for 3 nights while using up vacation time from work and for my birthday. This Rodeway Inn was quiet - no voices or barking dogs or music. I like that the room had a miniature refrigerator. The room smelled fine, the guy at the desk was pleasant, this place was clean and did the job quite fine.
Maybe this Rodeway Inn was in an out of the way location but I wasn't going to pay more for a hi class place near the middle of Grand Rapids. Also there was a more than faint din of traffic noise but it wasn't a deal breaking problem.

Friendly staff, comfortable beds, aircon blows ice cold, bathroom was clean, cable TV had lots of channels, large mini fridge with lots of space. Very quiet location despite being next to a busy road. Somewhat basic rooms with the bare necessities and then some(fridge, microwave, cable tv) but was more than acceptable for a weeklong stay.
Housekeeping does not go through the rooms very often to replace towels and washcloths, toiletries, or make beds. Dirty towels have to be handed in within a certain time frame to be exchanged for clean ones.

My room was equip with a Microwave/Refrigerator, Large Bed, Big Screen T.V., Air-Conditioner, Large Shower and Plenty of Space Table/Desk for Sitting and/or Writing Plus very Quiet & Safe Atmosphere.

It's obvious that the owners are putting every effort in to make this a safe and comfortable place to stay. The rooms are remodeled and very clean. The staff is very friendly and the house rules are completely fair.
Tub was clogged. Bed was worn - a little concave in the middle.

Location and price is what we needed. We got in late and left early. I would recommend this place if that is what your looking for.
It smelled of cigarettes a little. Not overpowering but noticeable. Rooms where clean with refrigerator and microwave.

We needed a good and inexpensive place to spend the night and this Roadway fit the bill. It's close to several restaurants and grocery stores. Staff is pleasant and helpful. Coffee in the AM was strong, hot, and appreciated.

Staff managed to get me into my room before check in time
When I called to ask/confirm about the early check in that I requested on my booking, the clerk said “check in time is at 3” and hung up. Very rude.
