American Inn and Suites Ionia

Very friendly staff - Kimberly (the manager) was exceptionally helpful with everything. The hotel is perfectly located within walking distance to the beautiful little town and the fairground. There is a nice pizzeria next to it and it's surrounded by wonderful nature trails. Perfect !:)

When you step outside of the hotel the internet connection (free wifi) gets lost immediately.

The jacuzzi in the room. This was much needed for a getaway. The price wasn't bad either. Free parking and close to the room. Location to food was close.

The pillows were a bit used and uncomfortable. They had roku tvs but you couldn't use the services on the roku TV. The cable was a bit weird as well. Breakfast could have provided a bit more options. The outside door was taped open so technically anyone could walk in. The room door was also extremely hard to open

THE Staff went out of there way to make sure we got into our room a little earlier. The room was clean and just the right size. All the staff were very friendly and made checking in and out very easy.

We did not get breakfast because of the covid restrictions, ? The entrance at the back of building that we had to use to get to our room had an air conditioner on the second floor that was leaking water right over the door. made it a little inconvenient when coming and going. Other then than that every thing was excellent.

The location and that they reopened the pool! The breakfast room was open but they need to have more options.

The door didn't lock properly room 127 and the jjets didn't work in the jacuzzi and the fact I paid extra for this room! No one brought fresh towels to our room or toilet paper!

Located very close to family, good price, front desk put my husband's cold packs in their personal freezer, fridge in room with small freezer. The hotel offers breakfast but we're not breakfast people. We stayed here in 2018 when it was newly purchased and there have been improvements.

The pool was closed.

Hallway smelled like stale cigarette smoke. And to bad folks ruined it for everyone so we were not allowed to have drinks by the pool. The hot tub jets didn't work.

Good to see the building is getting updated, breaking was great, the staff was excellent. Will be coming again soon

The only thing is just due to the remodeling, there was stuff everywhere but that can't be helped.

staff is wonderful ! good people running and cleaning staff is out standing.

looking warn. staff can only work with what is given them. my toilet was plugged most of the time. they need a Plummer to clear the pipe.

The staff was very understanding and was happy to accommodate us. They changed our room expeditiously. We had no complaints thereafter. Great restaurant next door.

The room we were put in was terrible. It had a horrible smell and was filthy. The bed covers were nasty and the mattress was uncomfortable. Dogs were not on leashes.

I loved the convenience of having the local shops and restaurants within walking distance and I loved the clean pool and complimentary breakfast.
