Hampton Inn South Haven

Front Desk Staff was helpful and informed me that booking.com rate was a scam and I would have to pay 119.00 for their cheapest room. I went a couple of blocks away and got a nicer room for $59 plus tax

When I initially went to the room - it was occupied and dirty towels and clothes were in plain view in the lighted unoccupied restroom. I could see the bed had covers pulled back and was afraid to enter should someone be under those covers. Front desk stated that it was "cleaned" and "empty" on the computer screen. Then she stated that the card that booking.com used did not go through. I showed her where I had a receipt "paid" and she stated that booking.com had scammed me taking my money and not paying for the room. I left and got a room elsewhere for less than half of what they were going to charge me.

Everything went well the people working there really helpful

Like big bottles of shampoo and conditioner and body wash but body wash needed to be filled. Swimming pool area was nice but hot was really grit and dirty looking water. I think it needs some work. Gauge was not working well either.

It was a great location. The room was nice and comfortable. The full size shower soaps were a cool idea. Breakfast was great!

Only 2 things, the shower itself was very small. The tub was angled awkward which made it difficult to stand in. And there was a hole in the ceiling of the bathroom that was just a little sketchy. I mean it could of had a cover on it atleast.

The staff was so friendly from the front desk to housekeeping to maintenance.

Booking.com and the hotel website advertised this hotel with ev charging with no asterisks for select locations. We did choose this particular location for that reason but ended up finding a close location for charging...so no biggie but just a heads up for others!

Weekend breakfast was amazing big and hot! Staff was amazing super nice and helpful. Quiet and clean. Room was clean per Covid standards. Even the tv Remote was clean and packaged up.

Couldn’t book the room I wanted which was the king suite with jetted tub. Paid double the price for a smaller room. Electric went out due to a down power line. We were out of power from 6:30 pm till 3:45 am and weren’t told any news of when it would be back on. Granted I know it wasn’t the hotels fault. But it was 90 degrees that weekend so it was super hot in the room till the air turn back on when the power did. Was hoping for a discount.

We were traveling, so this property was conveniently just off of I-196. It was a couple of properties away from the freeway and we didn’t notice any traffic noise.

Our visit was off-season and we were able to park near the build entrance. But the main lot appeared to be darker than expected.

No problems. Comfortable. Friendly staff. We have stayed at this South Haven Hampton Inn and have never been disappointed. It is very clean, and the bed is comfortable, even for my husband. Thanks for a consistently good stay.

The breakfast was really good both days! It was flavorful! Coffee was good! I’ll be back !!

The fruit was sad looking, but I hate to complain because everything else was wonderful. I just like a piece of fruit with my meal, and there were only 3 that day. A couple of apples and an orange. They looked sad.

We loved everything about the room. The jacuzzi was lovely, the room was clean, we didn't eat breakfast or use the pool but I'm sure both would've been great as well.

The pillows were not very comfortable. More firm pillows would be of help.

Television and shower was nice, location was good and continental breakfast was good

Our air conditioner Was very noisy, our bedspread was soiled, so we took it off and never did get a replacement one, there were smells in the hallway, and for one king bed and sofa -250.00 a night was extremely high.
