What a find the Yelton Manor was. We were attending a family wedding in the area and wanted to stay on the lake, in South Haven. We paid a little more than we usually would prefer, just to be comfortable and really enjoy our time in Michigan. The Yelton exceeded my expectations in every way. The place is beautiful, old, and in great shape with such personality! It's from the 1800s and there are tons of little cozy nooks and crannies to sit in, read books in, and warm yourself in front of a fireplace...there are books, antiques, and artwork everywhere. I only wished we were able to stay a week to spend more time at the inn itself, relaxing and taking advantage of all they had to offer. The breakfasts each morning were wonderful - the coffee divine! So many little extras everywhere...chocolates, blueberry cake, brownies, cold water, ice, fruit...your wish is their command. Dan, the caretaker when we checked in, was a wealth of information. He recommended Taste as a local restaurant our first night and it was perfect. Our room was clean and comfy - we were in the Avery Suite. I emailed the inn as soon as I booked to give them information on my small service dog and they were so accepting and wonderful about having her, as pets are not allowed. Even though we have a family home nearby, we will come back and stay at this treasured inn in the future, for sure!

Needs more lighting in the Forget me not room. Remodel kitchen nook, so it’s not such a tight squeeze when there are many guests.

The Manor is located only blocks from North Beach. We were also able to walk to South Beach and about 15 minutes to dinner each night. The property is beautiful, very clean, and there breakfast was wonderful each morning. The were able to accommodate gluten and dairy free as well.

4-5 choices for breakfast. Delicious food, very accommodating, plus a blueberry bundt cake every morning left out to help yourself with, as were yummy chocolate brownies all day long. Beautiful antiques everywhere, several cozy nooks to sit and read the many many books housed throughout this adorable B&B

The house is old so we could hear the guests above us walking around. The only room that was available had a full size bed so we felt a little cramped.

The breakfast was delicious. I would have liked to see the menu change after two days though. The breakfast we did have were great! Ideal location! Once we parked the car we just walked everywhere and the beach was only 500feet away!! So much chocolate too- and the GOOD chocolate!
In the Biltmore Room, the bathroom door should be fogged glass; it was clear glass, which makes walking in the suite hallway past the bathroom a bit awkward.

Location was excellent! Walked to downtown. Victoria in the kitchen was very accommodating with special requests. Dan was very helpful with places to eat and see. Gave us a tour around the Inn and answered any questions we may have.
The TV situation. It was a smart tv but couldn’t find the network channels.

The location was amazing. It was very convenient to be right across the street from the beach so we could go back and forth for water, restrooms, etc. It was also a fairly short walk to hit the restaurant district.
