Fairfield Inn & Suites Minneapolis Bloomington/Mall of America

The breakfast was really good. And the location is really close to the mall. I appreciated that we were able to catch the shuttle to the mall one of the days we were there. Front desk people were very friendly for the most part.

The mall selection of stores. Also i called after checking out because my card was double charged. I was told that the manager would call me back after he got in at 3. In regards to my concern never heard back from anyone. And today is September 7th I checked out on September 2nd. And I still haven't received a call back. So better communication would be nice.

Loved the location to the mall and the shuttle service. It was very punctual while we were there, every hour on the hour. The driver was a gem too!! The staff in general were really friendly. The breakfast was really good, except for the meat being in water? That seemed strange, but otherwise it was a great selection. Far more than I expected. The surrounding area was very quiet - which was surprising.

The hotel wasn't fancy and maybe a little threadbare? Could use some fresh paint and new carpet and maybe new windows. Ours were covered in condensation. Wild children running and yelling in the halls was annoying, however that's a bad parent problem and not a hotel issue (parents - don't let your children run and yell in hotel hallways, please)

Good breakfast. Pancakes only some days. But they have eggs and sausage. Feels like there are options for everyone. Free shuttle to hotel and mall. Pool and hot tub are great.

Shuttle unavailable one of the days due to staffing issues but they offered to reimburse for any uber/lyft costs. No microwave. For $800 for 5 nights, I'd expect a microwave. There was a small fridge. Pillows were also flat. Other than that it did the job for what we needed.

The hotel is conveniently situated between the airport and the Mall of America. The facilities were complete -- parking, pool, laundry -- and the room was spacious and comfortable. We were only at the hotel to sleep and have breakfast, so didn't really take advantage of its possibilities. The breakfast was adequate. There was also shuttle service to the mall and airport, but with a somewhat limited time schedule. Our flight arrived at 11 PM so we had to go by taxi.

As a U.S. citizen who has lived 42 years in Europe, I always have a problem with the excessive use of plastic and disposible tableware in the U.S. There was nowhere to separate plastic, paper and organic, but I have found this to be true in every hotel I have stayed at in Minnesota.

Food was decent. The building itself is quite old but well maintained. Staff are nice and friendly. They also provide shuttle buses every hour going to the mall or airport. The only bad experience we had was we had to ask the front desk to change our card key almost everyday but aside from that everything is well.

First of all, we were grateful for the opportunity for a late check-out. I also enjoy the (warm) breakfast served. We loved the proximity to the airport - we walked there in the morning to get some exercise and we enjoyed watching the planes approach MSP while drinking coffee in our room.

There were only little things to improve. This hotel caters to family and middle-class guests who appreciate quality. Therefore, it seems unfitting to serve a varied breakfast only with disposable dishes and silverware (not to mention the ecological issue). Industrial dishwashers are fast and meet sanitary standards. The ice machine on the third floor was broken, and for the second time the computer center (to print boarding passes) was not available. (The receptionists offered to print them to help out.)

It's been a few years since I've stayed at this Fairfield Inn, where I used to stay quite often when travelling for work. It may have been because we were there on the weekend, but there seemed to be more families and groups than business travellers this time. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful. The business centre was available when I needed to print off some documents.

The breakfast room was a little congested and there was some hallway noise, but nothing really problematic – the atmosphere was just a little "busier" than I remember it being in past years.

Very convenient proximity to airport; my friends were able to use the pool and visit the mall of America, and I was able to work from the lobby after checking out of our room.

Most of the staff were great, though it seemed like a stressful time for them with several rooms experiencing maintenance problems. One of the young men who worked there was not particularly helpful.

The receptionist remembered us from the weekend before. We were upgraded to a suite! I will definitely stay there again and recommend it to my friends! Thank you!

Absolutely nothing to do with the motel. But, because the light rail is being updated at the MOA, you have to catch a bus to get to a terminal at Minneapolis/St.Paul Airport and catch a light rail to downtown. It was total chaos! We will not be returning to Minneapolis until the light rail is done to MOA.

The facilities were very clean and the front desk staff was very polite and helpful. The rooms were clean and the beds were great for a hotel stay. Location to MOA was amazing and the shuttle service takes you to the mall if you don't feel like walking. The complimentary breakfast was ok they did keep it very well stocked.

My only complaint was that the airport was right next to us and the planes taking off was quite loud. I expected that with the location though.
