Hampton Inn & Suites Laurel

Breakfast and staff were very good. Overall appearance and cleanliness was good. The fitness room was nice and clean.

I was placed in a handicapped room #401. One of the power shades did not work. The other was impossible to figure out. The room had not had an overhaul in a long time. The bathroom was the place that needed the most work. It looked dirty though I don't think it was. There wasn't a hook for in the shower area for a towel, they were all high up??? I am not handicapped but would not have appreciated this room. I rented two rooms #405. 405 was more updated with USB ports and a manual shade. 401 could have used both.

We stopped here so momma could see all the houses Ben and Erin Napier had updated. She is a big fan and we even saw Ben getting in his car. Their house is cute and the houses they have remodeled are incredible and as cute as a button. The town is really booming.

We didn't have them hot breakfast that we normally have to do too. The oven being out. Some of my group said they wished that the hotel had let us know that then. That way they could have decided if they wanted to stay there or choose somewhere elsewhere. The breakfast was like it normally is sausage, bacon and other things.

Overall because of booking.com I think I got a fair deal. Others in my group didn't book with you and they paid over $700 and I paid. You know just a little over 400 so thank you

nice staff, clean and close to downtown. The breakfast is good and the eating area is clean and pleasant. Roomy bathroom compared to the room itself.

the room was small. queen beds are actually double beds. coffee pot didn’t work and they didn’t have another one to replace it which seemed odd but when the hair dryer started sparking they did bring us another hair dryer. the indoor pool is ice cold so we couldn’t swim but a short time and had to get out.

Nice space in room; comfortable bed; facility a little dated but currently being renovated. Room clean. Carpets in halls a bit dated, but appeared generally clean. Good parking. Friendly staff.

Large flat screen in room, but because of placement and room layout, viewing from bed or sofa was at extreme angle. If the cabinet were another 3 inches off the wall. It would allow for a better viewing angle.

The pillows were flat. The room was not ready for check in at 2. When I showed the employee at the desk my reservation with early check in she said that’s if the room was ready…. That makes no sense. Why offer early check-in if it’s not available? The pool room needs a place to put wet towels and someone needs to check this room for cleanliness.

There was an issue with the reservations (I booked 2 rooms on an independent site) and the local hotel team was able to work it out. It was quite stressful but they not only solved the issue they exceeded expectations. Great customer care and service reflecting well on their hotel and on Laurel, MS!

Nothing could have been better!

The staff was so nice and accommodating to us and were asking if we enjoyed our stay or if there was anything they could help with . Breakfast was wonderful with lots of options, warm or cold items were plentiful. Coffee was hot and there were plenty of sugar/creamer options available.

Room was dark and smelled but it was tolerable and we still enjoyed our stay. I attributed the dark colors and the smell to the hotel being older, the room was clean and comfortable otherwise.

The room were extra large and breakfast was good.

The bed was terrible!! It sunk in on the side of the bed I slept on. We asked them to swap but they said all their beds were the same and 2 years old. So I moved to the opposite bed where your feet goes and slept that way.

Room was comfortable and employees were nice.

My hubby came down with food poisoning after eating the Jimmy Dean sausage and croissants for breakfast. Was very uncomfortable later in the morning and didn't feel well at all as we had to travel to Tyler, Texas that day. In fact, we had to stop for him to throw up on the way and he ran to the room/bathroom of our Tyler hotel room to do the same. He ended staying in bed all of the next day until we had an event we had to attend at 3pm.
